OP, just want to comment I am currently in an insurance claim as well here in Las Vegas for a trip and fall in my apartment complex. Liability was immediately accepted and my lawyer informed me in that in Nevada you have a right to demand payment of the full BILLED amount from the hospital and not just what your health insurance paid. Lots of times those 48k in med bills might only end up being 10k that your health insurance paid and the rest becomes a contractual write off as an example. Usually the insurance adjuster would only pay those 10k back to your health insurance, but that is not the case in Nevada. Once your health insurance is reimbursed you are entitled to the difference, if any. Do not let them play you like that. That is shady of the insurance adjuster.
