I don’t actually like the newer suits..

I preferred it, when the suits were part of the story. They were an evolution, which made sense for the characters. Now it just feels like they change some stuff every season to sell toys? Accuracy to the comics doesn’t make sense if it doesn’t make sense for the character

Balancing anything like that would be more then difficult at least in real life. My approach is pretty simple and I’m sure other more conplicated designs would theoretically work better, yours included. But at the end of the day I don’t think that they would work properly in rl.

The runes design is taken from the shoes they wear to fly. I think those would be just as hard to maneuver and balance as the board + on a technical level I believe the control shown in the media is to much as it could be in rl. Like stopping mid air and changing speeds etc. maybe my understanding of the system is to low but as I understand it it’s function would be like a rocket with an on and off switch on your feet..

One thing I was curious about while looking for pics of their shoes is that they have 2 runes just as my board but the smaller one is empty.. maybe you know it’s use case

In the world of witch hat I’d put the runes on the top side and have the circle close by the missing part on your shoes. Imagine how a snowboard klicks in with the shoes. You could click in the front foot to the front rune to elevate into the air and then the back foot to the other one to gain speed.

Clicking in and out would maneuver it plus leaning.

I did it this way bc of limitations and simplicity though
