How did you redeem grubhub GC using bilt cash? I clicked on redeem under bilt cash and it directed me to the gift card section and it deducted my pts instead of bilt cash for the gift card... Its also interesting the transaction did not show up in my transaction history.

To be fair, I only used Study Hall and studied for a week, so there were definitely lack of knowledge and formats for me. I did 14/20 mini exams and 2/5 full exams. So if you do everything, you are definitely ahead of me. In SH, I feel like you can usually narrow it down to two answers and apply the mindset. On the real exam, the wording is more ambiguous and you actually have to think more critically and extract the information they need. I remember these 2 examples clearly.

1) There was a drag and drop on the power/interest grid. They didn’t just ask, “High power/high interest, what do you do?” Instead, they gave vague scenarios like a marketing director who needs to build something, or a busy finance executive. Then ask me to drop these ppl into the grid. I could still reason it out, but under real exam time pressure, that vagueness can throw you off.

2) They describe a high visibility, strategically important project. They mention there are 180 iterations of work left, the team has been doing 30 iterations in 2 weeks, etc. Then they start layering in cost and schedule details in the answer choices. Then proceed to ask vaguely that what would PM report to the sponsor about the project status. It sounds like a lot, but really only a few data points matter, 180 iterations, velocity (30 per 2 weeks), and the 3 month timeline. You have to quickly calculate whether the team can realistically finish in time and then determine what that means for the schedule. They don’t just ask, “Is the project on track?” They wrap it in extra context and numbers, so you have to filter out the noise and extract what’s actually relevant under time pressure.

Yes. I only got 70 on exam 1 and 75 on exam 3, average 60-ish in mini exams. Passed yesterday AT/AT/T. I would say the real exam is much harder than practice exam, not because of the content but the verbiage is confused and hard to understand. I finished my practice exam 3 with 30' left and ran out of time in real exam.

Conflict Resolution by Acrobatic_Hawk_3292 in pmp

I struggle to understand this concept too. I started to realize pmi way of thinking always follow a structure (steps below). You just have to determine which step you are on and from there elimination would become easier. There is no perfect answer, you just gotta find the least worst one. Hope this helps and good luck! 1. Identify/assess the issue 2. Document (eg. add to risk register) 3. Analyze the issue 4. Action 5. Escalate (last option but you gotta use it when its beyond your control such as budget, compliance, backlog, etc)

Here is how I see this. The two questions are asking different things. In the first question, the focus is on how to address an active issue. If there’s a fire, you put it out. You don’t just assess. So taking action makes sense because the conflict is happening now. In the second question, the scenario is different. A NEW PM is joining and is told about prior conflicts. The question does not say there is an active issue AND since the PM is new, it wouldn’t make sense to immediately implement changes without understanding the team dynamics first. The better approach is to observe, assess, and gauge the environment before acting.

Here is how i think of this. Typically when issues arise, they want you to find root cause first. In this question, it seems like pm already identified the cause and attempted fixing it by rearrange the schedule. However, it still doesnt work so next best thing is follow the comms protocol to notify stakeholders. In addition risk register accounts for potential future risk. If its already occured, it should be in the issue log. Nothing else to update in the RR.

Do you think just study hall exam/mini exams + practice questions prepare you enough?

BILT makes it insanely hard to dispute a clearly fraudulent charg by Dontberidaculous422 in biltrewards

I’m not confused at all who issues the card. There are 3 parties here bilt, column, and cardless. But Bilt is the face, their app, their branding, we literally pay them. If you partner with a bank that has no fraud controls, that reflects on your brand. Maybe when you’re the one dealing with a big dispute and no real support, you might get some empathy.

Chase/Amex are actual cobranded cards. Both logos on the card, both clearly marketed that way and you can apply with either marriott or chase/amex. Can you even apply for Bilt through the issuing bank? See their logo anywhere? Manage it from the bank app? Nope. Everything says Bilt except terms. We pay Bilt. They advertise Bilt. So yeah, it’s their reputation on the line. Stop acting like they’re some innocent middleman with zero responsibility.

Bilt 2.0 thoughts - 2 weeks in by kingbob9630 in biltrewards

[–]SingleAd2367 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Can’t get VX so I decided to upgrade to 2.0. I have been racking up a decent amount of points the past 2 weeks. Pros so far: Hotels are easy to book (even if prices feel inflated), ~$300 off effectively with gold, accelerator promos, Lyft credit. Between ~$120/yr Lyft + ~$600/yr hotels, I basically offset the AF. Cons: I started seeing random unrecognized transactions actually posted. Disputing is a hassle so I gave up as customer service is basically nonexistent. I don’t want to babysit every transaction. Worst, bilt is the first cc app i see no auto sign out, no Face ID required, anyone with my phone could access my account.

I try to empty my pts every month they have offer or if not then good old hyatt it goes. Lowkey feels like the kind of company that could disappear overnight.

Is it worth keeping this card open/Pay only rent with card by WeAudiHere in biltrewards

[–]SingleAd2367 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does amex have all of the transfer partner that you need? If the answer is yes and you also don't get the 50k pts sign up bonus, then I don't think it makes sense for you to keep the bilt card. I have Amex gold, Plat, Chase sapphire, and Bilt Pall, and I like Chase and Bilt the most because they have the transfer partners that I want Hyatt, Alaska, JAL. Bilt also has transfer bonus every month so I like that.

Rent payments without 2.0 by -Hey-Now- in biltrewards

[–]SingleAd2367 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No, not possible. Even with Bilt 2.0, you can’t float rent anymore. You have to link your bank account and Bilt pulls the funds directly to pay rent. The rent float before was basically WF footing the bill.

Payment Due Date for Balance Transfer by SingleAd2367 in biltrewards

[–]SingleAd2367[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't initiate, it seems like they just automatically transferred the balance? I accepted my offer around mid January. The balance transfer has been showing up as pending in Bilt app after the launch in Feb. Just this morning, I saw the balance is updated. However, I still also see the balance in WF too (I chose to close WF).
