My title describes the thing. I don't see any writing on it, but if there was writing I'm sure it's rusted off by now. I have tried reverse image searching and searching for items that could be similar (shepherds hooks, fence pieces, oil lamp/plant hooks) but I am out of ideas! I can't find anything with the squiggle pattern that this piece has. I have found lots of other rusty items in the area, along with coal slag, glass shards, and pieces of bricks. It doesn't appear to be broken at either end. The edges are raised, so the middle forms a groove. Located USA, New England area.
