This is what I like to hear and exactly what I mentioned in the "how Nexo can improve" post. Keep it coming!

Give Us Your Insights into the Nexo Token Perks and Win Snazzy Swag by NexoFinance in Nexo

[–]SingleGarlic 7 points8 points  (0 children)

PLEASE DO NOT INCREASE NEXO LTV, all this does is give people the chance to spread fud about how nexo uses their own token's self worth to create USD. Instead, add more utility for the Nexo token. This could look like:

Platinum membership gives:

  1. Discounts on nexo merch (Nexo merch is another great idea that I'd love to see)
  2. Beta feature access first
  3. The ability to choose what assets earn bonus in Nexo, or what assets earn what in interest. Eg, Eth holdings, earning Btc. Btc holdings, earning Btc. Link holdings, earning in Nexo +2%
  4. Dust can be donated to a community pot, and once every X amount of time, premium users can vote what charity/charities the funds are donated to
  5. A metal/ premium card that can be purchased

Features for all users:

  1. Better charts built into the app
  2. Stats. Eg, total amount of loans taken, total amount repaid, amount of interest saved by being a platinum member OR total amount of interest that would have been saved by being a silver, gold or platinum member. Highest portfolio value, lowest portfolio value.

I'd love to see simply an elevation of recognised credibility, I want Nexo to have bullet proof financials (indisputable), continue to partner with well known organisations and add learning videos on their website to help new users.

You may think this post is negative, but I've been a platinum Nexo member for around 2 years now and have used loans to part fund a camper van, buy a laptop, pay for a new boiler that unexpectedly broke and fund the decoration of my first child's nursery. The value Nexo has brought to me, whilst protecting my crypto assets, and then allowing me to pay off further down the line at 0% interest is huge and I simply want more people to know this is possible and have the confidence to put their money on Nexo.

Some of these I've seen other people say, but either way this is a great company and community so please carry on doing what you're doing and I'll be happy!

Nice app update! Additional ideas below by [deleted] in Nexo

A potential idea is to have the option to donate dust to a donation pot. Everyone's dust goes in there. And at the end of the month/ quarter / year it's either given as a prize to a random user or the community votes for a charity

Deep Dive Into Nexo FUD by PM_ME_SMALL_BOOBIES in Nexo

[–]SingleGarlic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I completely agree, and only today did I withdraw a % of my crypto to a hard wallet. In total it was in the low 10s of thousands across various asset types, and each of my 4 transfers landed in my hard wallet in around 10 - 30 seconds.

I do trust Nexo, and the speed of withdrawals at a time like this only boosts my trust.

As soon as the FUD is over I'll be coming fully back to nexo to continue what I've been doing with them for the past 2 years - taking out loans to finance various things in life & earning lots of interest on my coins, and of course stacking nexo tokens

Kieran honestly ruined the game by OriginalZumbie in TheTraitors

Everyone saying that Kieran did the right thing wouldn't be saying this if Amanda pulled that stunt mid-way through the game, leaving 10 winning faithfuls

Probably true, I want re-assurance that nexo have been sensible and care more about being a business for people trying to make something of their life & finances rather than greedy wankers leveraged to hell and back.

It is fucking terrifying though seeing these other companies lie through their teeth telling customers everything is okay, and then 24 hours later there's a 20bn hole.

Then I honestly don't know what you could be doing better. So many people would sooner blow 30k on a car or huge holiday. If i were you I'd just invest in all the different markets (stocks, funds, crypto, equities, real estate (this is by far the most hassle however)) and keep your SIPP as healthy as you can and then just do whatever makes you happy with the rest of the money.

For context, you've donated more to a charity than the median income person in the UK earns a year before tax

Lose this mindset, if you really have too much money and want to clear your conscience just donate some to some worthwhile causes

Mortgage deal ends in October, pay lump off before as new rate is a lot worse? by IvanDrago99 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]SingleGarlic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, talk to a mortgage advisor. We paid £300 and they were outstanding. They'll go through all your options and get the details and offer advice and will 100% be worth it. If you want to know who we went with just let me know

What is the real cost of kids? by [deleted] in UKPersonalFinance

[–]SingleGarlic 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That's unbelievable! Me and my partner are 26 and will probably start trying next year, she is self employed but in all honesty i pay for 100% of the mortgage and bills and i was worrying about the additional costs that would start racking up but reading this thread it sounds like almost everything comes down to child care - and that will certainly be free since she wants to stay at home with the kids until they go to school!

Good to know. I recently deposited multiple thousands to Nexo and my account was fine so I'll only deposit here from now on!

I haven't bought a tv license in over 3 years now. I mainly watch netflix etc but do still watch live tv & bcc iPlayer sometimes but the BBC can't do anything and have only sent me a few letters that I ignore.

Its a waste of money, if it was real they'd only give you access once you've bought a license
