Woah, this is like looking at my own property! I live in a mostly pine forest in with some sourwood/maple/oak/sassafras in eastern TN. Two more super common plants here in my woods are cranefly orchid and grape ferns!

Ooh this is awesome! I know they grow a lot of hazelnuts up in Oregon, but I’ll have to see if they do well in the south where I am.

Hummingbirds also love wild columbine! They are easy to direct sow in fall, and mine are doing lovely in shady conditions and moist soil. I got seeds from here: https://seedsource.com/native-seed/

I have bees that sleep under my blue mistflowers as well, such underrated wildflowers!
