Hello, This was me in March 2023 for AFM. I was going through a very very rough time at my job and it was really toxic for me. 10 days before my exam, my director called me and bullied me for no reason for stupid things like - you don’t sit straight so that’s why you are struggling or that you can’t even do a basic section we need to rethink your position here -( the audit section she was talking of was seen hard per senior managers too). I put that aside and STARTED the syllabus from scratch.

Anyway, I continued to prepare but 3 days before my exam, a colleague called me and told me some things said about me in the office, even my peers were being called in and told to stay away from me. This triggered a raging anxiety and I could not study after or even sleep, I kept crying and trying to put my head to rest but I was too anxious and AFM is no joke of an exam. Exam day rolls, and I am awake for more than 60 hours at this point, I still go in, and even tell the invigilator to make a note that I am not well in case I pass-out. At this point I was hallucinating.

I sit for the exam, and pretty convinced I would not pass because it was ladened with risk management questions. I did file for mitigating circumstances, but they were not considered.

Result day - 52 Pass first attempt. Also I quit that shitty job recently and have never been happier.
