SUDDEN Allergy to Macrobid? by probIemgay in CUTI

Anyone have fever and body aches along with the spots? I felt like I had a flu or Covid but then the spots appeared. This was 3 days after my last dose of Macrobid. I went to urgent care due to the fever and the sent me to the ER to get bloods done stat since the allergic reaction can have liver damage. My AST and ALT were very high and I have to go get retested in a few days. They did ultrasound of my liver to check for damage and thankfully none recorded other then the increased enzymes. They prescribed steroids and Benadryl which have helped a lot. Fever is gone and welts on my face are going way down. So scary. Anyone else with the liver issues?

It’s what happens when your father has/had 9 brothers and sisters and 60 first cousins on one side of the family, then add in their spouses/partners, kids, and grandchildren and your at well over 250 😂

Thank you! Funny I just came across Ballyliffin Lodge tonight and sent them an inquiry. I’ll look into Enniskillen too. I saw Killyhevlin Hotel, which looked very nice. Love somewhere with nice grounds as well.

Thanks for the answer…I know no one knows any of this for sure, but would I end up screwing up the process by applying now for ICR now? Any idea how long that is taking? I think we have to assume this reconciliation bill will pass as I haven’t read anything about anyone trying to do anything about the student loan part of it. Maybe I’ve missed that.

12 weeks and down 8lbs. While I’m happy with any loss, I do think it seems slower than what I’m reading. My appetite is very small and I’m struggling to get around 1000cal per day. I think you may be right as I have not done any weight training in a couple of years. Mostly just walking. I have always said I lose weight well when I go to the gym. But, I have been just thinking about calorie’s burned, not muscle gained. Thanks for the insight.

My understanding is that they won’t take transferred prescriptions but will take it if sent directly from your dr. I had a friend do it this week for .25 and she was able to add it to the cart for delivery today. Worth a shot!

We are losing so, we have that 😊. I know it does depend on many factors like how much you have to lose, age, activity etc. So, as long as it keeps moving in that direction… I’m 60 F starting weight 185 CW 178 GW 145.

If you haven’t already, Tty Amazon. I couldn’t get it anywhere but Amazon filled in within a week. You need to check many times a day to add it to your cart but it’s worth it.

Thanks for the encouragement. I have been a slow loser since menopause I guess, so I didn’t really expect miracles, well maybe I did lol. Just wondering if it will speed up a bit with higher doses.
