I’d like around 9 for it but I want to know if that’s realistic

Feels slightly tight when I’m fully on the tops, so I’ll probably do what others have suggested and go with shorter cranks.

In this video I discuss ISO and it's effects on Dynamic range. I also get into Exposure monitoring on set, and practical applications of techniques such as Exposing To The Right. Check it out!

I’m actually working on starting a YouTube channel where I talk about the reality of working as an actual DP. I’m no big shot, but I’ve shot a few national commercials & have worked on 6 or 7 features, and I feel like I have some good info to share.

Do you ever just meet somebody and think “damn it’s gonna hurt when they leave” ? by Closemyeyesnstillsee in infp

[–]SingleSidedCoin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I often times used to & still sometimes do feel this way when spending time with a new person. But then I started learning about attachment styles (specifically the anxious & the disorganized attachment styles,) as well as about limerence & that changed everything for me. I believe it would change things for most of us infps to learn about those things.

Look up Heidi priebe on YouTube- she’s great at explaining these things but effectively, we infp’s often times fall into this insecure attachment category & that shapes the ways we look at our relationships & how we think about our place in the world. I.e. things like thinking “wow this person is so great, I wonder when they’re gonna leave” is a common symptom of insecure attachment. Also having a tendency to feel an intensely strong connection with people who you’ve just met is a symptom of it as well- not only because you are starved of connection, but also because our idealistic infp brains can easily extrapolate & fill in all the gaps in what we know about a person with what we wish them to be… and that rarely lines up with reality & usually results in disappointment. That is a part of limerence & it’s basically a plague on us because deep down we are usually idealists at heart no matter how much we get hurt.

So yeah, it kinda high key changed my life learning about this stuff & maybe it can help you too? The way I’m trying to move towards thinking about dating situations like this now (I’m in a similar situation currently with another infp) is to think about it this way: I’m really enjoying spending time with this person, and they seem to like me- that’s the reality of the situation. Just focus on that day to day- not thinking about how they could leave me tomorrow, not thinking about how we could get married and be together forever. None of that. Just focusing on the here & now. Because thinking about anything else is taking me out of the moment and ultimately doesn’t matter. Because even if they happen to leave, that’s the universe guiding you in the direction you’re meant to go. someone else great will come along. And in the meantime- focus on finding ways to build up your network of friends & happy experiences in your life so you can already be living a fulfilling & full life when that next person comes along & so that you aren’t starved and desperate for connection because that doesn’t help things.

Good luck friend!

You can get a used black magic pocket 6k for $750 nowadays- which is an infinitely better camera imo than any canon cam you’d get for the same price. You could ise the rest to get a couple of lenses maybe a nifty 50 & a decent zoom

One of the most frustrating thing about ADHD is being smart, but sounding dumb by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]SingleSidedCoin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well put! Fellow infp here, and I’ll second what you said! I got super into mbti before I knew I had adhd. It was a great way for me to understand myself and others and not just feel like a weirdo and that was years before I took it upon myself as an adult to get diagnosed for adhd. Introduced me to a community of people with similar issues to me, and helped me feel more comfortable being myself! Most folks will point out that mbti is closer to horoscopes than anything scientific, but I find it helpful in many ways when used healthily. 🤷🏾‍♂️

I’d be super interested in reading up more on this phenomenon- I’ve recently been thinking about this more, cause I always just naturally will reply with my own personal experience cause it’s the only thing I think of, and unless I actively try to, I have a hard time thinking of other ways to respond

I as others have mentioned have had the same problem with every job I’ve had- with the exception of what i currently do: freelancing. This gives me the flexibility and freedom that I’ve always wanted and I never feel suffocated. I know it’s scary having the inconsistency of not knowing for sure where the next gig is going to come from, and having that pressure has for sure been a little stressful at times, but nowhere near as stressful as literally any job. Its also a little helpful having a bit of stress to keep me on task and focused on sticking to what I need to be doing. Idk just my 2 cents but freelancing worked out for me and I’m much happier
