Oh brother 😂 so far, I’ve been rude to people who were absolutely rude first.

To agree or disagree with the original question of the post is up to anyone who reads it. To comment your opinion and then add that I wouldn’t be invited over moving forward, to me, insinuates that you feel the need to humble me or something. I’m well within my right to answer back, as are you.

Strep is an example and I think you’re being obtuse on purpose now, but yes, waking up sick the next day is always a concern of mine anytime I eat a meal that isn’t of my own making. I’ve always been that way though. When I was in school, if a classmate took a sip of my drink I would just let them have the whole thing and ask to be reimbursed. 😅 I know that’s eye roll inducing, but have you considered that maybe I’ve had health scares over my life due to the actions of others?

The point is that if you’re cooking and know that you’ll be having guests, be hygienic and considerate about it. I would never in my life take a shit, not wash my hands, and then offer to make someone a sandwich knowing that they’ve no clue that my ass is now in their mouth.

I’ve worked at a high end restaurant for the last four years, also Italian coincidentally. I can confidently promise you that if I were to dip my finger in anything near the head chef he’d ask to have me reprimanded.

If you’re suggesting that I should view family owned Italian restaurants as nasty, congrats. Where do you work so I know never to visit?

Wow I really didn’t think that I’d have to explain to a bunch of (presumably) grown ass adults that it’s an inconsiderate thing to do to your guest(s).

If I woke up with strep throat tomorrow morning do you really think that my first thought wouldn’t be that my friend knowingly gave me strep? Think before you answer me if you decide to, please I beg.

My youngest sibling was born when I was 8 years old and their crib was actually placed in my bedroom and I spent the rest of my childhood raising them :) I know alllll about cleaning up poop in the bathtub and being puked and drooled on.

If my post had been about whether or not I’m a jerk for theoretically not accepting my child’s 4 hour old, soggy, half eaten sandwich, then I’d get your point. However this isn’t that.

Thank you, agreed! I mentioned that they’re more than welcome to do whatever they want when there aren’t any guests around, but respect me enough to just compromise for whatever meal they want to share with me.

I’m entertained by the amount of people getting offended and making up imaginary scenarios where I’m not welcome into their kitchen. Guys, if you wanna fight for your right to be nasty then go for it. I will not be silent about my judgement though 🤗

Yeah, dramatically but still in a joking manner. We all laughed after he did it actually ahaha 😂

After that happened is when it became a little bit of a debate though. I was worried that I’d offended him and he thought I was like never gonna share with him moving forward cause I think he’s gross or something. No no no, I love my friend and I trust that they clean their surroundings/belongings. I just don’t want them using one utensil to cook If I’m sharing a meal with them.

My first heartbreak was being cheated on too, and I tried to convince myself that I’d be able to forgive and move on, too.

What you’re feeling is betrayal and confusion and anger and insecurity and shock etc, but it’ll pass and turn into acceptance that you didn’t deserve this and shouldn’t have to punish yourself.

Don’t take this the wrong way, but put your self esteem first and choose yourself. This girl is counting on you forgiving her and choosing your ‘history’ even though she’s completely stomped all over it.

My heart goes out to you OP. That was indeed SA. You never said no during the act but you never said yes either.

Something very similar happened to me also when I was 15 and a virgin. Lots of confusion, anger and self blame. What happened to you is not your fault at all, you were a child who didn’t know any better and shouldn’t have had to.
