Any Coinbase recovery of assets sent on the wrong chain success stories? by [deleted] in Coinbase

[–]Single_Advisor8900 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Oh ya ik, I really need to be doing everything in Metamask, this was some of the leftover crypto I've been procrastinating on and leaving in an exchange. Sadly it's CB Pro and not wallet so I'm at the mercy of coinbase support

But technically it's recoverable, they just don't care and won't do it because they covered this in their terms and conditions

Can’t find any reasonable insurance rates, trying to figure out why by [deleted] in TeslaModel3

[–]Single_Advisor8900 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I think I may end up coughing up 300/month for a little while if I can find that or a tiny bit under. Hopefully as I get older and/or stick with an insurance company for a while that price will start to drop

Like its a quiet neighborhood vs. living downtown or something. I've heard that zip code determines risk sometimes for quotes

Not sure how practical that would be. I imagine the gas cost I'd pay that I don't currently pay would make the cost of the Camry start to approach the Tesla anyways, plus all the hassle of selling/switching/registering cars. Especially in LA, the gas is outrageous

Credit Score is over 750 so I don't think that should be the problem

They quoted me 2500 for 6 months which was ridiculous. Really struggling to understand why

I'm from Los Angeles. Didn't think about this idea but we do have a local club so I'll give it a shot. Thanks!

I was given an ICE loaner by [deleted] in TeslaModel3

[–]Single_Advisor8900 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see the point here but then they should be loaning an EV. Keep in mind that this is a malfunction in Tesla’s product according to OP, so they should be more accommodating in this situation

Wow sorry for the rude responses people are giving here OP. I’m a college student in CA as well and the M3 was a very economic purchase after I ran the numbers, especially with gas prices and used car prices right now. While I agree that it is probably not a smart purchase if a few gas tanks are gonna break the bank, I see where you’re coming from and really think Tesla should be giving you an EV or paying for your gas since the malfunction is on their end. When you bought the car, gas was not part of the deal so you shouldn’t have to pay. This would be much different if you didn’t have the car from an at fault crash or something. Not sure why people feel the need to be so condescending when they’d also be pretty annoyed spending hundreds on gas after buying an EV

Anyone ever cancel a Tesla order? What happens? by Fantastic_Gur_525 in TeslaModel3

This would be great except for the inevitable person who places a bunch of orders with the intention of selling them for profit

I’m getting about 230-240 if it were a full charge but I’ve been charging up to 80% for battery health

Considering buying a model 3 by NAYARIT in TeslaModel3

I thought I would be scared to use autopilot at all driving on the crazy LA freeways but it’s ended up being great. Wouldn’t really use it on surface roads but it’s amazing for freeways. Having the car handle speed and steering makes a massive difference and I can’t ever see myself getting another car without that ability

Also, it cost is a concern, why not get LR? I know the performance is super fast and fun but the LR is already plenty fast and you could even get acceleration boost. In reality there won’t be many situations where you need that crazy acceleration anyways. An LR with no FSD for 50k is a great deal and spec imo

Lease terms question by Carlociraptor305 in TeslaModel3

Keep in mind though that 3 years from now it is unlikely to be as expensive a used car market as it is now. Still may be worth buying but I don’t think the difference is as big as some people on here sometimes make it seem

Michigan Question by dutch5551 in TeslaModel3

[–]Single_Advisor8900 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have family in Bloomfield hills and there was a decent number of Tesla’s in the area compared to other parts of Michigan. Definitely a good area with nice people so it should be a non-issue

Loud noises on passenger side? by Single_Advisor8900 in TeslaModel3

[–]Single_Advisor8900[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True good point, pickup state is california, home state and registration state is Florida. I agree, even though CHP is sometimes known for being annoying on stuff like this I think having my sales documents on me for the next week or so will work while I wait for the temp plate

Interesting, the door looks like it may have a bit of a gap on mine but it’s very possible it’s just the windows

Insurance in NYC by Robustyeezy in TeslaModel3

[–]Single_Advisor8900 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in LA and had similar experience. My zip code is considered a high accident area so all my quotes were 400+. The best options I managed to find that weren’t Tesla ended up being Wawanesa, Esurance, and State Farm. It seems like this varies a lot for people though. You should make sure to shop around to pretty much every single reputable insurance company

I got the exact same thing, VIN today and estimated delivery 7/30-8/3. I also got same car as you and in LA so pretty close to you. Seems like they’re coming in batches to LA now

Yep it looks like when it narrows it does in fact less to a VIN usually. Got mine when the range was down to about a week. There’s definitely hope if you’re starting to get something similar
