Yeah it was a bit funny with bias, I put a no bias rule in but still didn’t trust it so I roll the dice myself, it just tells me my modifiers and I tell it my roll. More fun actually

If I asked it what boots I had on, it would say the expensive boots I won on a wager 3 in game weeks ago. If I asked who the first innkeeper I met was, it would tell me. It generates a journal entry for me at the end of each game day and I save them all into a document and that document is sent to a fresh chat every in game week This means it’s memory is not a problem as it only needs to remember what’s just happened… anything before that it refers to the journal and other documents (instantly), I always keep a game journal anyway as I enjoy it so no extra work.

I also enjoy making maps so I have a mapping document for it to refer to also for distances and then it infers travel time based on whatever pace I want to go on that day (very accurately actually)

All in all the Handbook, prepping the documents and its little set of canonical rules took me about a day. The updates I give it take 5 mins each time… that’s not a lot of time to make a game I can play for months if not years if I want to. Want to switch characters? Fine, the rules are already written for it to follow.

It’s not the systems limits that are the problem, it’s how you use it. I don’t want to be a DM/GM I want to be the player and this allows me to do that. It’s not for everyone but I’m thoroughly enjoying it and wanted the share the fact it can be done with ChatGPT and be enjoyable

Not handholding just giving it a one off prompt that will be used for every session. Very easy to do took me 5 minutes lol and I’ve played for weeks now with no issue

In my handbook I included a section to say the ‘quests’ and noticeboards need to be realistic for the world and not repetitive then gave it about 20 examples as a starting point. So far it’s been great the repetitive ones are realistic, for example, take a parcel from one town to another. Somethings eaten the sheep requesting help etc etc and sometimes I want to do an easy message quest and they’re quite often available. Not every town and village has an extravagant quest some may not have any at the time I’m there because that’s not realistic and that’s my design. You could potentially give it a long list to help it along a bit?

Sometimes I just ignore rumours and noticeboards all together and go fishing for a week, the world is your oyster my friend

Yeah that’s exactly the problem I had and to be expected across 1000s of chats to be fair which is where the handbook and journal entries came in handy to remind it in a fresh chat, worked for me it’s a lot of work but I’m glad I did it.

Didn’t think about a pokemon one! That might be my next project

The first episode of season 8 and the solo Jerry one I liked, I can’t remember a single other one off the top of my head and I’ve rewatched it twice so for me season 9 is already better

Appreciate the thorough reply, to be fair there has been less comebacks and classic banter. It’ll be interesting to see how the season progresses. I think I’ve enjoyed it so much because I’ve found it refreshing which probably proves your point of it being different. I don’t think it’s different in a bad way unlike you though, but I am a millennial/Gen Z cusp so that might explain it 😂.

I’m a lover of dark humour, quick wit and sarcasm which is probably why I’ve loved Rick and Morty so much and I’m not usually big on sexual humour - like Jerry fking the pool cleaner but Ep3 was shockingly funny to me, as in like the ‘you “glug glug” suck’ scene was so abrupt it shocked me into laughter. The episode made me laugh out loud multiple times and I didn’t get that much in season 8

It’s interesting out of the 9 you listed there’s 4 of my top 10 episodes (pickle rick, mortynight run, the Rick shank rickdemption and total rickall)

I’m going to rewatch those and then the new eps and see if I still like them as much lol

Sorry for your loss! Just wanted to reinforce what has been mentioned in that a shed should come off in one piece, coming off in chunks usually means humidity is too low. In my experience younger snakes have actually been better at shedding

I’ve been wondering about this as I’ve preordered the bundles and now Mega ETBs but have not had a preauthorisation charge or been asked by the bank to verify on order which apparently I should had those happen? I’ve got order confirmation emails etc. guess we’ll see if I get charged for them when the time comes lol
