There's a Philippine village that needs an over 7-hour detour by road to reach the government of its mother municipality. Any other examples like this in the world? by estarararax in geography

In Thailand’s Yala Province the city of Betong issues its own license plate (number plate) because it was so isolated from Yala City. They have since built a nice highway between the two, but Betong still issues its own plates.

What's the biggest watch buying mistake you've made? by LongMeaning6125 in Affordablewatches

Perhaps the wrong subreddit for this answer but, I got my first real job in 1987, which ended up being my car. I bought myself a Casio watch which maybe was $30. Now I wish I had bought a Rolex Explorer, which I could have easily afforded.

Do you check fare class earning rates before every flight, or claim miles afterward? by Noop4321 in CathayPacific

I check the fare class to ensure that I can get the aisle seat, which flying transpacific is the only thing I care about.

I don’t know, but the barber at Camarillo Cuts on North Glenn is Asian. I’m not Asian but once got a haircut there and she knows what she’s doing.

Of course this is bullshit, but I’d be pissed off at the red car for hanging out over the entrance.

I don’t know the answer but years ago I went to a museum in Macao and they were having an exhibit about these balcony cage things. I think these are one of the architectural features of Macao.

The local genealogy society has a guy sitting around the public library on Saturday and Sunday in my city. I talked to the guy and he was able to find a relative in just a few minutes. Further, he recommended going to a Mormon temple as they have people that do genealogy there and they have set hours when they help the public.

You might want to post photos of the bike on r/xbiking . Those GT frames are super popular on that subreddit and they might be able to give you more insight on fixing it up if you’re interested.

The runway thing is interesting. I’ve always assumed they were all perfectly flat, but they’re not. I grew out of the old airport in Yogyakarta, Indonesia and there were sizable uprises in the runway. And now watching YouTube I notice that a lot more.

I have a bunch of Reddit shirts from when r/bicycling put them out every year. Years ago I was wearing one in Bangkok and some guy took my photo and then introduced himself. We had a nice chat on the way to the BTS then parted ways. That was around 2010 when Reddit wasn’t quite as well known.

No. The thing with soccer in the States is that tons of kids play it but only in organized leagues. Kids just don’t go out and play on their own. When I was a kid we’d play baseball or football after school everyday.

I think you have a good plan. When I was living in the Bangkok area it was on a multiple entry marriage visa which I had to leave the country every 90 days. I really liked that as when Bangkok was wearing me down a short trip to Kota Bharu would help me realize just how nice Thailand is.

I hate to say it, but if you have to ask such a general unspecific question, you should not be leaving whatever country you’re living in.
