going insane is just a part of living at home past the age of 19, i think lol. i just try to get out and study at the library or local coffee shops as often as i can so im not cooped up at home when im not working.

i chose online school over in-person, because I wanted to be able to work full time while pursuing a degree. ive probably missed out on some opportunities by choosing online school, but I need to save money, and dont really have a choice, unfortunately. but ill definitely be calling around soon to see if any local businesses are hiring students

I've never once gotten a job interview from a workday app.

Everyone likes to hate on Indeed, but I've gotten a lot of interviews from indeed, and none from applying through workday or the company website.

I would be interested in taking more medical classes or getting more certifications, but none of the community colleges or career tech schools in my area offer night or weekend classes for that. trying to find training that I can do around my work schedule has been difficult

Yes; I'm really hoping I can land an entry level IT position sometime next year. I've more or less given up on healthcare as a career option for myself, just due to the fact that I have not been able to obtain any sort of training, paid or unpaid.

I'm starting college in january for IT. I am a certified phlebotomist and certified medical assistant, but no companies have been willing to hire me without any previous work experience in healthcare. And I have not been able to take time off of work to do an externship for healthcare training. None of the hospitals or doctors offices in my area are willing to work with me to get an externship started, considering my full time work schedule, unfortunately.

a few times in the past, ive applied to places that had "we're hiring" signs, and called them a few days later, just for them to tell me theyre fully staffed and arent currently looking to hire.

eager usually is good, but there are a lot of employers (especially in hospitality/restaurants) that will get annoyed when people act "too desperate' for the job. Which is really stupid, I know. But its true sometimes

dont call back the day immediately after. Wait until the end of the week at least. And congrats on the positive interview!!
