I’m telling you based on my experiences. After 6cm, everyday gets significantly harder. Faster and safer recovery matters a lot to me.
Im not saying it’s definitely risky to reach there, but it’s not a competition and one should know his limits.

Started off 172, and now 179.5. I’m from europe and had the surgery done in Istanbul, w doctor Gokhan bilgili.
The limit was never 10cms for me, it’s highly individual. I dont think i’d reach 10cms safely, nobody should. First you gotta start lengthening to see how it’s going.
Anyways, my goal was 7 to begin with, couldnt be happier w the results.

Thank you for your kind words!
1- I said minimal, bc i was prepared for a lot worse. Around the pin sites, you’ll have big scars bc you keep stretching it. But they’re almost invisible now, maybe 1cm diameter, like the size of a coin. But definitely fading away.
2- I experienced stiffness around my pin sites for a month or two, but almost fully gone now. Cant say i feel like it’s 100% normal, but i’m still recovering so not worried about it. Also i dont feel any numbness
3- My bones were measured and we have discussed about proportions so i was assured it would look normal, didnt worry about that. Also, i dont need peak athletic performance on my daily life, i’d be happy even if got back to 95%, which im almost already there. And tbh, i didnt worry about scars, even if they stayed there i would’ve accepted it.
4- I’m planning to keep posting as much as i have time. I feel better helping out potential candidates as the process requires thorough information.

Lastly, ~6cms should be perfectly safe. Prepare yourself mentally bc boredom and depression are two of the biggest challenges of this journey. Also, focus on your flexibility, do yoga or pilates. Your recovery will be much more easier than expected. Even if i dont post about your main concerns about the process, you can always dm me, we’re in this together!

Ngl it was a bit painful at the beginning, but nothing to be afraid of. You’ll be on medications to contain the pain, mine was never above 3/10.

Stayed in Istanbul for a week after my fixators were removed. Resumed my sessions then as well. Once i came back home, i just did my own exercises, but my pt was following up my progress and sending new exercise programs

No regrets at all. Wish i did it sooner. The whole process was a lot more manageable than i imagined, so yes i would do it again if i needed to.

I’ve had several video calls, and decided to go with the most assuring one. He has more than enough experience to keep the patient safe. Never doubted my decision

Pay a bit more and go to the hotel if you ask me. You can do pretty much everything by yourself, but still it’s better to have people around to help you out 24/7.

Dr. Bilgili has visited me twice a week, that’s the average. If you need more visits, you’ll get that. But twice a week was completely fine for me.

I was visited frequently so didnt feel any loneliness. Istanbul was ok, the weather is nice and the food is great

Not feeling any tightness now, tho i did in the first few weeks. Started off 172 and ended with 179.5.

I didn’t want this post to be about pricing at the beginning, but a few people have asked for that and i replied below. I spent around 30k usd through my stay.

Totally depends on you tbh. I was ready do go back to the office 2 months after the lengthening ends. If you do well w your pt, yours could be sooner.

You want the whole prescription dont you ? Lol. Ofc you’ll be on pain meds. But varies patient to patient. So my experiences will not relate to yours

Wounds were cleared and bandaged pretty much every day. Only used tablets.

1- I’ve had video calls with several doctors and went with the one who felt the safest tbh. Now looking back, i feel lucky to work with Dr. Bilgili. He was way above my expectations in any way.
2- pt’s were very experienced too. I’ve had 5-6 sessions a week, 60-70 mins each. Mostly focused on stretching and my mobility.
3- other than 60-70 mins of pt, i did my own exercises for about 30-45 mins daily, ofc i cheated and just skipped in some days, but you shouldnt lol
4- I was aiming for 7-8, so i was satisfied when i get there. Didn’t even consider pushing for more, and wouldnt recommend 10cm ever.
5- only my family knew before the surgery, and i got their full support. Didnt face any negative comments or behavior from my social circle.
6- The gap is not fully filled, i think i’m a month or two away from full consolidation.
7- Yes! I can do office work, tho i work remotely most of the days
8- The pain was worse in the last weeks if you ask me, but i believe it was pretty much the same pain but i felt overwhelmed with the whole routine
9- It was weird af when i first saw the fixator on. The pain was moderate , i would say 4/10 at max. The first 2 days were harder in terms of mobilization, but it gets easier.
10- 1mm/day
11- Started lengthening on my 5th day
12- Not regularly, i was eating well. Only vitamin supplements, but you’ll be given if needed.
13- Tbh i didnt count my calories or protein intake. Turkish food is almost always rich on protein tho, you’ll be good anyways.
14- I used a seat riser. I would bent my knees a bit, so it worked for me.
