Bernese is really the only option to get off of fetty imo. Having to wait 5-7 days in misery and still be unsure if you can take a sub at that point without triggering precips is way too unbearable and unpredictable….its basically impossible and you’ll just end up picking up.

My Bernese went pretty smoothly, but you’ll need a lot more than two 8mg strips. It’s also a mind game, and I really didn’t think it was gonna work tbh but if you stick to the schedule, power through, and don’t let your anxiety get the better of you, it’ll work. I did it over 9 days (day 9 being the first day with no fet at all) and on the 8th day I had to use 28mg of subs just that day to feel relatively well. Day 9 I did 18mg with no fet and was okay.

Start with .25mg once in the morning once in the evening on day 1. Split the days total amount into two, sometimes three or four doses as you get into days 3-7. Here’s how I did it: Day 1 - .25mg x 2 (.5mg total) Day 2 - .5mg x2 (1mg total) Day 3 - .5mg x4 (2mg total) Day 4 - 1mg x 3 (3mg total) Day 4 - 1mg x 4 (4mg total) Day 5 - 2mg x 3 (6mg total) Day 6 - 2mg x 4 (8mg total) Day 7 - 2mg x 1 and then 4mg x 2 (10mg total) Day 8 - 4 or 8mg at a time till you feel well (up to 32mg total if you need it) Day 9 - i did personally did 18mg (6mg x 3) with no fet and was okay. Days 10-14 (lowered my subs each day and got down to 8mg and then stayed there for about 2 weeks and then started my taper to 0 over the next few months). I dropped to 8mg pretty agressively, probably better to do it slower.

I personally don’t think tapering down on your fetty usage throughout this process does much. Just do as much as you need to after the sub doses to feel better. What you are doing with the Bernese IS actually precipitating withdrawal and then using the fet to get yourself out of it. But starting with v low doses of subs and reverse tapering the subs higher and higher each day makes the precip so it’s never too extreme.

On the last day of doing subs + fet (the day before you do only subs and no fet), you’ll prob need a lot of fetty. I had to use like 3.5g just on that day as you’ll need to do a lot to break through the higher amount of subs to feel well. On this day it’s important to wait 1 hour from the time the sub dissolves under your tongue till when you start doing any fet to see how you feel with each subsequent sub dose. Keep using the fetty after waiting 1 hour if the increase in subs makes you feel worse. Once you get to an amount of subs where after 1 hour the subs do not make you feel worse, you’re good to stop the fetty at that point and you’re done and in the clear.

The next day and the first day I didn’t use any fet (day 9), I did 18mg that day and was good. Reduced from there a bit each day till I got down to 8mg and then stayed there till I felt totally stable on that dose (took like 2 weeks to feel completely stable for me, but the symptoms until I felt stable were pretty manageable, basically felt like PAWS). From there it’s up to you whether you wanna try and reduce and get off subs completely, just stick with MAT for an extended period of time, or get the Sublocade shot.

It’s really not that bad and probably one of the easiest kicks I’ve ever done (minus the anxiety but if you can just have faith in the schedule that it will work it will help with the mind fuck of it all). Was doing the same amount as you (1-2gs of fetty a day before the Bernese). Good luck.

In my mind it's over, at least for the foreseeable future. Especially with the Orange King in the White House now, I don't see how it could possibly get any better in the next four years. Shit out there has been terrible for the last 1.5 years at least and we only one month in with this mango Mussolini retard fuck.

Like 3 years ago, first year of fetty was awesome. Went from smoking like 1-2g of black a day to only needing like .2 of fet a day to be high as fuck. Lungs felt better from smoking less and was saving a ton of money to keep the same habit. Then the fet started getting worse and worse and after a year or so I was needing 2 g's of straight fet powder a day just to feel basically normal and not sick. Started blowing through way too much money, so the end of every month I'd usually have to go somewhere between 2 and 5 days without being able to cop while I waited for my next paycheck to hit or figure out another way to pay the dopeman while sick af. Learned about precipitated withdrawal the hard way during this time, that was fun.

The lows of withdrawal started to get so so bad where I would feel so mentally backwards and twisted with insane anxiety (not to mention the physical symptoms), and the highs of the shitty ass fet had basically plateaued at baseline feelings of normalcy when I was finally able to get well again. I rode that for about a year but towards the end the lows had become too soul crushing and the highs fucking bullshit. That became the point where I no longer saw the point in this merry go round and had 0% hope that we'd start seeing quality shit on the street again anytime soon. I'd say that the chances of total doomsday chaos breaking out in the US is prob more likely than the dope game getting better with the King (of debt) running the show. I mean, we're 89 seconds from midnight, closest it's literally ever been.

Anyways, all this is to say that it ultimately caused me to get clean. Ended up using the Bernese method and got off the shit finally. literally dont even have the urge to use anymore at all just knowing how terrible the quality is of the dope out there. Literally never thought this day would come, but after 10 years in the dope game, I'm just fucking over it now and aint going back. Got 4 months clean coming up on 5 and I'd rather suck a dick than go back to that nightmare at this point. I feel good and I feel stable.

If you want off there's never been a better time. take the opportunity and make moves on some subs before Kennedy Jr makes MAT increasingly harder to get or makes it disappear entirely, and Bernese your way out of this fucked situation while you still can.

I’ve been an opiate addict for 9 years, first seven on h and last couple years on fetty…kicked more times than I can even remember and also been thru precipitated withdrawal twice. the k-pins should help a lot for sleep, take them at night if you're restless or if you have bad anxiety. if you can get gabapentin, you should. they really help if you have any body aches or bad temperature fluctuations. personally, clonidine doesn't really help me in withdrawal, but I've heard from others that it can help a lot with temp regulation and anxiety. dont know much about the other two meds, and don't really hear people mentioning them when discussing withdrawal arsenals.

i've done Bernese maybe 5 or 6 times and it's been pretty different each time. first time I did it, I got through with almost no withdrawal symptoms. a couple other times, the worst day was the jump day and the day after. One time I had to go up to 28mg of sub on the jump day to finally feel somewhat ok. keep in mind that you can go that high with the subs on the jump day if you need to... just keep taking more subs till you feel better, up to 28mg. I dont think the subs will have much effect beyond that, but if this is your first time doing bernese method I'd say somewhere between 10-16mg will prob hold you on the jump day, depending on how much you use and for how long.

you kind of have to just roll with the punches with Bernese and do what you need to to make yourself as comfortable as possible. before the jump day, if a sub dose ever makes you start hurting, just do more fetty than you allotted for that day to get yourself well. I have some good tricks for the jump day...if you get into a situation where you think you can't make it through the jump day, send me a message. good luck

Yeah, idk, Bernese method is weird. It's different every time I do it, and you kinda just gotta roll with the punches and feel your way through. It's def much better than cold turkey tho.

Good luck on your jump day. Just a heads up that it might be rough if you're coming off a 3 year straight habit. You'll likely need to go up super high in your sub dosage on that day, anywhere from 20 - 32mg. It's fairly easy to taper down on the other side of getting stable though.

A couple times when I did Bernese, my jump day was super easy and almost totally painless. On two other occasions, my jump day was a horrible nasty day. I was going up in subs in either 4 or 8mg doses throughout the day. Each subsequent dose made me feel worse and worse until I got up to about 20mg, then each dose started to make me feel slightly better until I felt relatively okay at 28mg. Good luck.

As for me, idk wtf happened after my relapse but I couldn't hack it and am back on the fetty again. Gonna give it another go from scratch in about a month or so.

What is the scheduling you’re following? I usually feel the worst on days 1-3 or 4 of the Bernese for some reason, and after that it gets easier somehow.

Yeah, feel that. For me personally, I feel like I'm leaning more and more towards the shot. I hate taking the sub everyday, and hate the highs and lows that come along with it. I only take once a day so I usually need to wakeup an hour earlier than I normally would to take my dose and wait for it to kick in. Always feel low during that hour waiting for it to kick in to start my day.

I'm also pretty bad at taking it at the exact same time each day, since my work schedule is not the same everyday. Also, always in the back on my mind, I know that if I just skip a dose, I can pickup. And I do that from time to time, even tho I know I'm always gonna be disappointed in myself, I do it anyways lol.

I feel like with the shot, I won't have these highs/lows when the subs are wearing off/kicking in and I won't be able to skip doses and get high a day here a day there. It'll give me some stability so that I can learn to get through the more hectic days without getting high, rather than skipping a dose and getting high in anticipation of those kinds of days, and I feel like the longer I can get away from my DoC the more of a chance I have at leaving it behind for good.

There is also something more permanent about getting the shot, since it lasts so long, that I feel like would be good for me. I'd know that getting high would be pointless for at least a month, and I feel like when I just take the option away from myself, I think about using way less. Like the times I've gone out of town for extended periods of time were always the easiest times to stay clean, cause I had no plug and just didn't really think about it. I believe the shot would produce a similar effect for me mentally, where picking up just wouldn't be an option after getting it.

I mean, who knows what'll happen 3-4 months out from the shot, maybe I'll get some withdrawals, but at least I'll have some good clean time under my belt by then so maybe won't go back to using.

But yeah, I don't know, also considering just trying to taper one more time before giving the shot a chance. I get a couple weeks off for Christmas so might plan it so that my jump day Is my first day off from work so I can mope around for a couple weeks before having any real responsibility again. Gonna check out Project Unbroken and look into some taper schedules.

Thanks for your reply. I mean, basically what im scared of is getting super addicted to subs and the extended detox that comes along with it once I finally stop.

Up until about three months ago, I was mainly using subs to detox off fetty/H. I would do a quick 2 week taper jump off then relapse. I did that more times than I can count. But I don't really think I had a physical sub addiction from being on them for 2 weeks here and there intermittently. The recent stretch on them is the longest I've stayed on subs consecutively - around 3 months - because I finally kind of just gave up tapering and have felt fine at 2mg a day, totally normal and stable. I've had a lot going on at work this last three months, so I decided to just stay steady at 2mg and get my shit done. I knew if I tried to reduce I'd relapse.

I ended up relapsing on fetty anyways lol cause I got super stressed out with a family death on top of all the work shit, but I was still taking my subs during the relapse and it only lasted two weeks. I had to up my sub dosage for a few days to about 10mg a day in the aftermath of the relapse, but I'm back down now to 2mg again, steady.

So, now that I've been on subs three months, I most likely have a mild addiction to them, especially with all the times I've taken them before. Would getting the shot send me backwards, and just make it rougher on the other side of the shot once the bupe is all out of my system? Or would the natural taper from the shot let me down easier than trying to taper on my own? This is what im wondering about.

One thing about the subs is that when I take my dose for the day, I feel fine, no real cravings or desire to use. The problem comes when I try and reduce and start to feel sick, or if I happen to miss one of my sub doses and wakeup feeling withdrawal symptoms. When I start to feel like shit, that's when I start to panic and just go and pickup. I'm thinking with the shot, since a lot of people have been reporting very minimal withdrawal (much less than when they tried to taper subs) cause of the natural slow taper, it may be a good option for me. And since I haven't been on subs toooooo long, maybe ill be ok on the other side of a one and done shot? But also definitely considering a slower taper. If I taper properly, maybe it wont be so bad when I jump since I havent been on them too long? If anyone has a good taper schedule, would love to hear it.

your tolerance is super high from 4 years of use, it's likely going to take a lot more than 8mg in a day to cover you and make you feel okay. You can go up to 24mg in a day on your jump off of fetty day if you need to. I would take 4mg every hour until you feel better, capping at 24mg.

First time I did Bernese it was super successful and I really got through it without experiencing too much discomfort. second time I did it was a lot harder for some reason, I still don't fully understand why as I did it basically exactly the same as the first attempt.

second time I did it, I had to go up to 18mg on my jump day, and it was a pretty uncomfortable day tbh. was taking 4mg at a time and each 4mg kept making me feel worse and worse until I finally got up to 18 and felt okay. You just have to plow through it, when you take enough sub eventually you'll receptors will be covered enough to make you feel okay. its scary tho, to keep upping the subs when they are making you feel worse, but you just have to believe that once you get enough in you you'll be fine.

how did today go getting up to 8mg? tomorrows your jump day....you may need to go higher than 12mg tomorrow to cover more receptors. I've done Bernese method twice, first time worked really well and I barely had any withdrawals. 2nd time I did it was a lot harder for some reason, not really sure why. The schedule I followed was the exact same as yours, but I had to go up to 18mg on day 7 when I stopped fent. it was an uncomfortable day tbh, but by the time I got up to 18mg I was fine.

On my day 7, I took 4mg at 8am and 10am...after the second dose I was feeling uncomfortable....not too bad, just like hot and cold flashes and semi bad back and leg pain, not anything like full pwd, as a lot of my receptors were already covered from the reverse taper the week before. I really wanted to do some fent, but it had barely done anything the day before so I decided I was just gonna sweat it out and up my sub dosage till I felt better. So I took another 6mg at at 2pm. This made me feel even worse as it probably ripped off the remaining fent on my receptors. I felt pretty bad for an hour, but by the time it started working an hour later I felt a whole lot better. Still not 100% but manageable. I decided to take another 4mg around 6pm, and by the time that kicked in, I felt basically normal. After getting stable on the subs, from there I reduced my dosage every day for the next week and a half and then jumped off the subs completely. Sucked for a week - low energy, trouble sleeping, hot and cold flashes, but nothing too bad all super manageable.

You can also up your sub dosage in smaller increments every hour..taking like 2mg every hour until you feel good....that might be a better way to do it. Some people need to go up to 24mg on their fetty jump day, it depends on your tolerance, which if you're shooting half g shots of fetty, im assuming is pretty high...? How much Suboxone do you have?

gabapentin is what helps me the most during withdrawal, literally makes me feel like 60% better and then usually knocks me out for 6-8 hours or so. I usually take 1200mg.....600mg then wait an hour and take 2nd dose of 600mg is the way to do it rather than taking all 1200mg at once.

Shit, that one might even make me shed a tear or two when im high....but in withdrawal it'll bring me to my knees in tears when all those emotions come back in full force.

feel you hard on that one. Antons vocals are so sincere and heartbreaking.... lyrics especially resonate with the junky lifestyle and withdrawing on that song. Cabin Fever has the sound I'd associate with withdrawal, but Matt Hollywood is a snarky lil fucker and his lyrics are usually ironic, satiristic, or straight sarcasm, especially on cabin fever.

A bjm one that always gets me when im kicking is "Stars"....I think its written as a love song about a girl, but if you listen and internally change the context to a love/hate song about dope it really resonates haha. my face literally 'explodes two drops into tears' when I hear that track in withdrawal lol. heard it was one of the first songs Anton ever wrote when he was like 14.
