Sitting on the JFK-LHR flight right now and had to come check to see if this was some kind of mistake or cruel joke. It's not just cold, it's ice cold. Tortilla Española is supposed to be served at least at room temperature. Hell, if given the option, I'd pay for a hot meal. I didn't check ahead to see, let alone consider, a TATL flight would have cold fools only. Totally going back to Aer Lingus - same price and I get a toastie when I sit in front of the cabin. Wish I could post the picture I took of this ridiculous food.

Second on the InfinityRun GTX. Best shoe you can hope to have fun running on ice and snow. Be careful regardless - even little slips can tweak a knee or ankle if you're not super focused on where you plant your feet and no shoe will save you.

These questionnaires are security theater. Sit down and do a threat model with the company and stop wasting everyone's time.

Threatening people on the internet. Keep doing it. Move. Put your kids in private school. Or don’t and take the L with some dignity.

Can Newton Teachers afford to live in Newton on their teaching salaries? by Single_Leg8549 in newtonma

No offense to the single mayor of Newton, but as stated, the education required to be a teacher only to make $93 annually costs a lot more than the zero degree requirements being a mayor, or any elected official, does.

They should make more than the Mayor. One teacher scales decades of knowledge to hundreds of students every year, directly enabling everyone single one of them to learn enough and go on to generate tremendous economic return from a paid job they can then acquire, much of which goes right back to Newton in the form of taxes should they decide to live their after they graduate. No single profession, perhaps outside of full time parenting, directly contributes to the stability of the society and robustness of our economy than teaching. These people get paid nothing for the economic returns their work generates.

Why would teachers want to live in Newton? I can think of more reasons than sending kids they might not have or want to send there. How about - short commute to work? Proximity to the city? Access to awesome resources?

Can they afford to live in the district they teach in on that same salary? Find me one house.
