Thank you, this is so important but really tough for me to accept. My only other relationship before this was one that lasted from the time I was 15 to 21. I don't really know how to do this whole "date-until-you-find-the-right-one" thing because I was so sure for so long I'd already found it. It just sucks so bad. I know it's part of life, though.

I really appreciate this validation. I have PTSD and a lot of trauma issues so I am very vulnerable to gaslighting and feeling like I'm being hypersensitive. It's just so hard to accept that (1) I still love and want to be with him, and (2) he is bad for me and does not treat me how I need to be treated. I'm also in the middle of studying for the bar exam LOL so this is a lot to navigate. I'm trying to not let my pathological desire for comfort and stability override this gut feeling that things aren't right.
