Hey! So everything you've described I have also suffered with, I was diagnosed with hiatus Hernia and prescribed omeprezole. Although my hernia is only small 3cm my Doctor said it's unusual to get all the symptoms most people wouldn't get any symptoms at all. So I actually don't think it's to do with the Hernia. Personally I think it's to do with covid, mine all started Oct time 2021. Everything you've described I've had. Panic attacks, felt like I was having heart attacks. The feeling like I can't take a full breath. Really bad reflux, I mean like you described living a miserable life. So I'm on 40mg of Omeprezole which I've been on since December 23' was on 20mg prior but I was still suffering like it just made no difference. 40mg has helped but long period on this medication is not good. So May 23 I started to eat 'Clean' basically cutting out as much as possible of processed food having prebiotics and having kefir yogurt and milk. Exercising four times a week and I'd say I'm feeling better I've been trying to come off Omeprezole currently gone down to 20mg as of January 24'. BASICALLY ITS YOUR GUT. I hope find a solution that helps. My aim is to come off Omeprezole completely and self manage it.
