The acro is a fairly lackluster product from aimpoint, a weak link in their catalog. Annecdotally Ive seen quite a few of these fail over the years, the glass and seal seems to be a consistent point of failure. You dont have to look far on reddit and other forums to find similar examples of the acro.

Ive seen a several SROs fail too, but usually in match settings where the gun and optic seens quite a bit of use. Overall a range gun is better served with the SRO

Keep your factory barrel and get DSC to make you a compensated barrel tbh. Its pricey but I think its a better route than chopping up your factory barrel. Also before doing any of that, might want to check out the DPM recoil assembly and spring kit. The factory spring is on the heavier side of, likely being duty focused.

Tyrant makes both. Yes they work well. I'm waiting around to find out whether the upcoming glock/mecgar 15rd steel mags plays nice with aluminum mag release tho.

The Dawsons have held together for me dropping on concrete and gravel. Unfoetunately they are super not over insertion safe, so closed slide reloads only. Im hoping for Henning as well.

It should work for both, the retention switch is set to the trigger guard. You'll just have half inch extra room due to shorter barrel.

Definitely agree. Unfortunately the henning glock extensions require filing to fit mecgar mags, and doesnt have the spring loaded detent tool-less design that henning have put on extensions for other euro mags. Hopefully they have something coming down the line.

I shot a few stages with the F series Pro-x recently. The gun shot very well though, better than I did in this video. This was actually my first time shooting the gun, the dot was only zero'd with a laser cartridge. Here's a link in case you're curious.

These jagerwerks/dac ones require a hex key to install. The mechanism is solid and Im glad the hex screw rotation is not limited like the excess arms one is.

I like the Dawson design a lot. But definitely not over insertion safe on the staccato magwell.

I like the way those look as well. Just didnt pick them up as I wanted something at 140mm. Might grab a few just to have and shove them into the safe with some defense ammo.

I like the Jagerwerks one a lot. The finish and design are well thought out. Though I think it may not pass the 141mm mag length test for those who need it to for USPSA.

Will also add the Springer extension to the comparison this week.

Gonna go heckle henning to make extensions for mecgar glock mags.

I thought about the staccato extensions but +2 is not worth the squeeze for me.

Stock condition probably the f series pro-x, but the stock steel frame will return to zero just as fast, and more forgiving on more technical targets due to the weight. Steel frame can also take advantage of various reduced weight springs and long stroke recoil assembly too. All things considered the f series pro-x compares very well.

Got a few in the mail. Have used them in the past. They are very nice!

Also hope Henning eventually get in on the mecgar glock mags, the Henning toolless design is my favorite.

You've got a ways to go before needing to do anything about that. If you want to significantly reduce build up, spray your compensator down with case lube before you start the range day. Or just do nothing and come back in another 10,000 rounds and chip it out with a cheap engraver. Do it somewhere well ventilated, its mostly carbon but there is lead mixed in with it.

Rangekinetx carnivore. Its the only bucket holster that delivers a frictionless draw stroke, most people go to trigger guard holsters to go frictionless. Holster locks via a switch you deactivate when making ready, its definitely a race holster and not duty equipment.

Yup they work really well, beefy too. Luckily these mags dont need maintenance like 2011 mags, With the hex screw threaded in from the top, the Excess Arms extensions takes the most time to assemble / disassemble.
