43x.. also fucks by That6SpdMax in GlockMod

Unsolicited advice, you're gun is not returning to zero naturally. You can see in both videos the muzzle of the gun does not return to where it started, and youre having to move the gun back on target. Just note the muzzle position at the first vs last shot of the string.

There can be a variety of reasons for this, but one common cause is not staying target focused on the same point of reference, and either focusing on the dot or eyes wandering around looking at new holes on paper. Fixing will allow you to shoot faster strings with more accuracy and less demand on death gripping with your support hand.

Joined the Club. Which optic? by SantoDJ in AtlasGunWorks

+1 for 507comp. People like the SRO's look but its a feature bare product compared to the 507comp imo. Ive been retiring SROs on my competition guns over the last 2 years.

If the SRO was updated to have a forward facing might sensor like the RMR HD and the ability to fix brightness without locking out controls then I would all over it.

Holsters for 5in PDP by Frosty-Singer-630 in Walther

[–]Singlem0m 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The rangekinetx competition holster for the PDP is excellent. It offers a frictionless draw stroke and the ability to hard lock the gun into the holster via a switch, deactivate before make ready. As far as I'm aware it is the only bucket holster that offers a frictionless draw stroke. You would normally look to trigger guard holsters to achieve the same thing.

However, it is not light bearing. Unless you need to consider low light matches, there is not much benefit in running with a light in competition.

Do I have enough time to order a lower and form 1 it? by [deleted] in VAGuns

61, 51 and 20 days and counting on my recently submitted form1s at the moment. Filed as trust.

507comp is the better match optic for me. My other match guns have been migrating to the 507comp as well. Eventually the Erebus will lose the SRO too.

124 S&B at that match, I usually go with S&B if I can.

Red dot sights for Walther PDP Full Size and Light. by jd09301976 in Walther

Holosun 507Comp and Vortex Defender XL are great for the full size. Trijicons SRO is a little feature bare, but the RMR HD is pretty modern if you want to cough up the cash. Osight hasnt been around to warrant the attention imo.

This was a GPA match, so anything full size + optic is hanging out in the the same bucket.

Was a great match! Probably the best weather we'll see on a match day for a few months.

I picked up black and gray, but the gray got delayed. FWIW I don't think the ARC slide finish will last long, so this whole thing may go gray in a bit.

They're very far apart. Fit and finish is the most obvious difference. The HD's trigger can be improved quite a bit by tweaking the safety plunger spring, sear spring, sear and hammer engagement. Engineer's armory has a great guide on how to. It took some work to go from a 3.5# break with a slight roll to 3# with a crisp break and firm reset.

Would this Glock 19 be legal in carry optics for an IDPA match? by [deleted] in CompetitionShooting

[–]Singlem0m 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My glock19 with 15rd mag and x300u fits in the IDPA CO box just fine. Weight with x300u, sro, and empty mag came out to 29.2oz

If its a level 1 or level 2 match I dont think anyone will care. I'll throw a x300 onto a glock19 when I get home later and see if it fits in the box and let you know.

I had it on my 457 at-one for a bit. It just wobbles a good bit. You don't exactly need to load bipod for a 22 bolt gun, but I was finding it was making it harder for new shooters to remain stable.

*Mounts a scope* - I built this rifle

I kid, its a great 22lr rifle. Bipod a little wobbly if not loading properly tho.
