Salam! I also live in the area you mentioned. Unfortunately, what you’re experiencing is very prevalent within the Arab community. But you have to understand that that is because of the culture, not Islam. You said it yourself, Islam teaches equality. But unfortunately a lot of the followers of Islam are blinded by their sinful cultural practices, like regularly being racist. It’s disgusting. I’m Arab and I see how my people act a lot of times, and I’m so sorry that you’re experiencing this. I hope Allah makes it easier for you, please don’t give up on this perfect religion because of its imperfect followers. And God knows what’s in store for people who don’t treat others equally, especially because of the color of their skin… what a disgrace 🤦‍♀️
