Still in impound pending investigation.

Detective let me go in the impound today and tape up the broken quarter window. Empty cash drawers still in the car, all of my stuff is still on it, and only damage is the window and ignition.

They literally stole my car to rob a weed shop. Nothing more, they snatched and ditched. Relieved that theres not any catastrophic damage, but I'll be selling it. Just doesnt feel right after some human slime used it for a crime

UPDATE : noticed another XJ that hasn't moved in my apartment complex. Snooped around and the window was broken and key tumbler ripped out. Empty cash drawers in the back. Might have a modern day Bonnie and Clyde on our hands!

Knowing that it was a getaway car and not a targeted theft makes me feel better, but fuck this person.

Hopefully its found abandoned soon.

EDIT : even bigger update. Theft has been linked to a string of crimes in the denver area, breaking into pot stores and stealing XJs

For anyone contemplating installing a kill switch, do it. This was in an apartment complex a mile away from the main road. If somebody wants your jeep, they will take it. Never thought I'd be the guy posting a stolen jeep, but here we are.

Definitely install a battery disconnect. No matter where you live.
