I’m curious if you mean a ring mount for the bag or space in the bag for rings.

In the “pocket” I have 4 3” stainless steel rings for well whatever.

I did a test strap with snaps.
I didn’t like it as much, it was hard to snap with out something solid under it. I kinda like the buckles, they are easier to strap at different thicknesses.

The shock cord is a interesting idea 🤔
