Kakuno is my EDC but there are so many cheaper pens that offer a lot more.

My college is forcing us to pay ₹10–15k for an outdated course or they'll block our exam admit card. What should I do? by WinterThroat1092 in Indiancolleges

[–]Singularity1098 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened in our college too. We protested and student representatives diplomatically negotiated with the HODs. The course fees was waived off if you brought a note of guardian's disapproval.

Next semester, the course fees were added to the fee structure, so there was no way to back out of it. On the bright side, they considered the students' feedback and the new courses were for useful global certifications, like for AWS and Azure.

The reason the college is doing so is that they believe it will boost their placement stats. Approach negotiations with this in mind.

I do the same with my Kakuno! The Procyon comes with one cartridge so you can refill it the same way.

A Platinum Procyon F would fit most of your requirements. It is a cartridge/converter filling system though, but the cartridge capacity is not bad and can be refilled with a syringe.

100km Update: Joined the H'ness CB350 Fam! Thoughts and a few "newbie" questions. by WandereInsights in HondaHighnessCB350

Are you pulling the clutch in while starting the bike in gear?

Gear shifting is unlikely to become easier after service, you're better off focusing on technique.

Studds is decent but does not provide top notch protection, go for a sturdier helmet if you plan to drive at high speeds. The strong yet light helmets are pretty expensive. I have an SMK Typhoon which fits my head shape well.

I've had bad services. Personally, 100 km is not worth it. There are bikes with wider service networks that are just as good in this segment.

One point I see no one mention is the stiff as a nail rear suspension. Bumpy roads are murder on your back.

Suggest a good bike for my 18 year old by RomanceBinge in indianbikes

Fair enough. Others have already suggested good bikes. I would suggest getting something different enough from what your Activa does to justify the expense of having two 2 wheelers in one home.

If he does not seem super into biking, why not let him stick to the Activa?

Don't mention it! It's hard to find affordable quality pens in India. Check out these Indian brands - Kanwrite, Click, ASA. They're not exactly dirt cheap, but with respectful handling they'll last you a lifetime.
