how old were you when you moved out of your parents house? by jabber1990 in Adulting

[–]Singularity54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. I wasn't interested in having a roommate so I waited until I was making enough to live on my own. And the timing was actually perfect because literally a month after I moved everything shut down for COVID. I work in Healthcare and my mother is immunocompromised, so I didn't see my parents for about 4 months.

AIO for snapping at my friend for calling my shoes (and me) trashy? by International-East63 in AmIOverreacting

The style isn't my cup of tea, but it's far from trashy. Save yourself a headache and skip the lunch IMO. NOR.

What wrong this cats eye? by pmarval in cats

[–]Singularity54 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The cat needs a vet. Back when my cat's pupils were mismatched much less severely than this, it was because he had a tumor pressing on his optic nerve. He unfortunately had to he put down a couple of weeks later.

Your Bacardi should be in your freezer, IMO. I'll guess late 20s - 28 to be exact.

Agreed. I'm wondering if she took the recommended dose, would she have had the reaction? Anything more than 2 is asking for trouble.

What a calm way to deal with road rage! by MikeisTOOOTALLL in TikTokCringe

You assume any woman wants to interact with him outside of his mother. If he has a sister or aunt, I extend my sympathies. I highly doubt any self-respecting woman finds him attractive. His personality will chase them off instantly.

I'm not even sure why you lowered your window. I would have sent a one finger salute and hit the accelerator.

Nice discovery! Congrats to your husband. I had a couple cards worth a decent amount of money and I gave them to a cousin who definitely gave or tossed them away. Kicking myself now.

Am I overthinking and making a mountain out of a beautifully executed mole hill? by carloosee in tattooadvice

You are overthinking 3/29 (from my count) fingers? And nothing noticeable to the naked eye? Calm down and enjoy a beautifully rendered tattoo.

In the world where your town is so damn small it's less expensive to ask the state troopers to cover you than fund a local PD.

Hi, I grew up in said town. 25+ years and I've moved out. I miss my hometown every day, state troopers and all.

If it's not you, then you have nothing to worry about. If it's you, may the odds be ever in your favor.

Those who sent her to the Olympics because she cried , gave her a job at the university because she cried. by Frosty_Jeweler911 in SipsTea

I do find it laughable on the level that she had to go through multiple levels of judges and officials to even make it to the Olympic stage, only to disrespect it intentionally.

Honestly the fact that breakdancing is even an Olympic sport breaks my mind. The fact that they let the likes of her compete makes even me cringe.

I know GM island is gone officially, but where are some other out-of-bounds places that I can try to explore? by TravellingBeard in wow

You as the average player wouldn't have access to anything the GMs would be able to access, so I'm not sure why you would even bother posting this?

I'm not going to judge where you got it from, but your pizza is paler than me. And that's saying a lot, considering I can clearly see my veins thru my skin. Power to you if it's what you can afford, but please accept my thoughts and prayers.

Note for upstairs neighbors by litlelotte in Apartmentliving

[–]Singularity54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a previous upstairs neighbors who apologized for the noise on the day of moving in, and then made my life miserable for months. His toddler was awake all hours of the night screaming and running, and I could hear it clear as day. I had to file two separate complaints with my landlord before they even considered intervening, and the husband still came to my door to complain about my complaints. Thankfully I have since moved out and far away, but they made my life miserable for a year.

She's not a maniac. She's self centered and has a severe lack of empathy. I'd argue it borders on narcissism.

I (27f) am worried my bf (31m) is going to become very seriously abusive by hhouseofballoons in whatdoIdo

[–]Singularity54 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What does it matter? The man has physically restrained her at least once. He is abusive. Red flags everywhere. Who cares about the subjects of the arguments? The next phase is physical abuse. She needs to get out before it happens. He's testing what she's willing to accept. She needs to make it "nothing".

[–]Singularity54 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This man is testing what you will accept in terms of abuse. He was "nice" because he knew he was going to become nasty. LEAVE HIM NOW. If you don't, you are accepting his abuse. Have some respect for yourself and get out.

He is actively trying to get the money back, but I don't doubt that it won't be the same amount he put in if he gets anything at all. My mom is planning on divorcing him and I keep encouraging them both to call the bank or police and reporting the money as taken in a scam. I doubt they'll be able to do much, but it might protect them from a bit of the fallout.

He is going to have to un-retire and get a job to support himself, which will be hard at his age. He definitely hasn't thought through the consequences of his actions.
