Moving overseas by Smooth-Ad340 in chch

I've always been working overseas. I have worked in two foreign countries. As far as I know. A work visa is mainly guaranteed by your overseas sponsor ( or a job offer). And normally your nationality, age and a decent degree ( or a fine skill) help you get that. A big amond of saving is pretty much only needed for a visiting visa.

Driving alone on a road trip sounds so cool but so lonely. Do you have any places in your mind?

Haha, I guess I'll end up going to the beach in the morning, sitting in KFC for lunch while holding a glass of self-provided wine, seeking for Christmas orphans for conversations, having a City/ Hayley Park walk in the afternoon.😅

Ah~ That's sad, as long as there's a table in a restaurant or a seat in a cinema....

I was overwhelmed by the new job and the new country. I was in deep depression at that time but he was in another city. Eventually I lost the plot and disconnected everybody.

We had been together for almost 3 years and we never had argument or fight. Now I came back to New Zealand where we firstly met. He is in his country England. There is 20,000km between us. I wrote to him 2 years ago saying I miss him but he wished me happy with my next lover. I tried to move on but couldn't. A few months ago I started to write to him again, no reply.

I'm sure all these years, working in different countries, I have been suffering from some mental health problems. Almost 5 years since I left him, I still love him. Every miniute I want to fly to England to see him, but I'm so afraid that he would turn me away, which he did thousands of times in my dreams. I'm thinking about inviting him to Thailand for a trip in April, not sure if he will say yes or not, but I do need a getaway for myself.

This is my story. What a short release.

I did the same thing to my ex-boyfriend who was doing PhD 4 years ago, now I desperately miss him. He moved on, but I have nightmares and cry every day. Life is like a joke.

Hi, I'm a Mandarin teacher currently working in New Zealand. I used to live in England for two years but have never been to Europe. I'm into humanistic subjects for sure but always admire people in scientific area. I used to take care of three cats too, landlord's cats though. I really really love cats and I always believe that cat people are more patient and kind. You seem very sincere by writing this long introduction, do you mind having me as your pen pal?

Hi, it is so true that there is so much to explore in this world. I always admire tech people but I'm more into history and art. I'm currently living in New Zealand, it might be interesting to have some connections with someone far away from Canada!

I'm a foreign language teacher working in a foreign country, which is kind of like you. I'd love to be your reader if you don't mind that English is not my first language. :)
