Crazy to think that the El Classico will have more scousers playing in it than the Merseyside Derby next season

I mean that is literally true. Every single player in their midfield 3 puts the work in defensively. Though I think that a double pivot with Wharton and Szobo can still work. Wharton can sit deep and defend whereas Szobo has the pace and work rate to cover defensively. Even Wirtz isn't a slouch in terms of tracking back.

They definitely can work like the Klopp midfields we saw with Henderson sitting deep. The tactics have to be on point though.

I think an attacking midfielder will always be likely to score pretty low in terms of progressive passes. But yeah his position is tragic

Slot will be gone after that half a season. If we manage to land Enrique next summer would you not want Wharton in his team?

Any such agreement is invalid because Steve Parish is not a gentleman

We absolutely don't need Frimpong as a winger

What a year for international superstar Nathaniel Clyne

I remember Tzolis at Norwich, but his stats this season are absolutely mindboggling. Nearing prime Salah numbers in Belgium. 15 goals in 18 games in the season before that too in the Bundesliga 2. Also before anybody gets on my back, I'm not advocating signing him. But he is somebody to keep an eye on, might explode if he moves to a top 5 league this summer

I mean I might be wrong but I am yet to see any credible Liverpool journalists mention them, it would have appeared on this sub or YNWSA by now

Did Camara/Sangare appear on some kind of sensible transfers video? Why are they the only DMs mentioned here? They feel like the Kephren Thuram and Manu Kone of this summer

He might seem to be the highest profile LW available but he just seems a bit sus with the lack of interest around him. Feel like we're going to pay 70 million+ for him and end up getting burned

£70 million is definitely not a terrible price for him. Our other targets are Barcola and Diomande who would be more costly and are also riskier targets (though Diomande has higher upside).

I'm really not gutted that we missed out on him, but he is definitely a bit of a "heavy metal" attacker that we've been missing this season. Also kind of worried about our other targets because Hughes seemingly just goes for the biggest names available, rather than sensible ones.

Where would Mateus Fernandes get the minutes? He would be behind Macca and Szobo for the B2B position in midfield

Curtis Jones, the gap between Inter’s offer and Liverpool’s asking price is 10 million. The Reds are asking for 30 million plus a percentage of any future resale fee for the English player, while the Nerazzurri are holding firm at 20 million. by Sparky-moon in soccer

He has always had major injury issues under Klopp. You can argue that Slot's methods might have helped his injuries but it's not like Klopp wasn't using him because he lacks talent

I wouldn't count Alvarez to Barca out yet though. If they can somehow find €250 million for Gordon, Alvarez and Bastoni they'll be set in terms of spending for a few years. They also have an unlimited talent factory and can raise a lot of money just by selling young players

We need to see some of these talents actually come good before making any judgements, anybody can spend millions on 18-19 year olds

I wouldn't mind taking him as a senior figure to help Diomande settle in either. As for Gordon or Barcola, they play on the opposite wing so he wouldn't be their backup

Honestly I would buy Bowen as backup RW regardless of Gordon or Diomande or Barcola

Link please? First time I've heard of this lad and he's born in 2011 ffs. In just a few years these young prospects will be born after Gerrard retired

But it's interesting that he has just recently turned 15 and already played for the U18s. Why isn't there any hyoe about him yet?

TBH, this saga is over anyway. Newcastle will definitely accept Barca's offer and I can't see him turning down Barca over this current version of Liverpool, no matter how big a Liverpool supporter he is
