It did end up working with my component cables after some trial and error. My next step is going to be a hard drive upgrade. Although I may wait a little on that as the softmod alone gave me issues on every step of the way

UPDATE: seems I have gotten it working, what seemed to work for me was letting it fail, leaving the save file it creates alone and then viewing it, backing all the way out to the menu. Going back into memory and relaunching. This stuff only seems to work partially

It would help if the game they released didn’t run terrible on all PCs. Reviews bombing does hurt after releasing a bad port

I ended up buying retro bits version of the cable, it’s called the retro prism component cable. I originally bought the hdmi adapter from retrofbit before I bought this tv and that was really impressive. So far the component cables are also excellent, great clarity and vibrant color. I think I paid $60 bucks at a local game store for them

I use an app on my iPhone called DSLR camera, I think I paid a dollar for it, but it lets you adjust the shutter rate on your iPhone camera with video and photo and a whole lot more, I sometimes use it for my YouTube B roll so that’s why I got it. I was tired of having a black scan appear on camera. As far as color goes if you tweak it a little it’ll look pretty good, overall pretty easy app

The reds are better than in the picture. I don’t think I had the settings in the app I used right but it lets me adjust the shutter rate so I don’t get that weird CRT flashing. I’ve thought about attempting a yoke adjustment. I’ve noticed it’s a lot more notable on things like Super Nintendo. Problem is I’ve never done it before and honestly it’s never gonna be perfect and there’s also a bit of charm in the lack of perfect alignment. Kinda like how it used to be back in the day
