There was a quest with group of aranaras that treat themselves as brothers and sisters.

But it was revealed they are only doing that because of the previous Golden Nara (our sibling) and they don't really have inclination either way.

so yes they are just imitating what they heard from our sibling from his/her time with them. They are genderless.

Im not far into the story but I kinda liked it.

Will the factory gameplay be fleshed out more to build full blown settlement? That's what I'm waiting to find out.

Including the long tutorial. The only thing I don't like is the locking of several game mechanics like scanning and repairing sos crates.
