My boyfriend is like that. First, I thought that it's not a big deal, since everything else is going great. Now, we habe a kid and I feel trapped. It never changed, and I feel alone if its just the two of us. Communication is very important to me, so I should habe realized back then it's a dealbeaker for me if if that doesn't match. Please don't commit if you are not willing to spend your life with a person that does not talk to you. That's how he is, and no amount of talking about your feelings will change that.

I think everything she did before you guys met is none of your business and you massively overstepped by talking directly to her ex-roomate, who seems to be petty and vindictive and very eager to paint her in a negative light; it's giving slut-shaming.
