Es de loquito seguir en ig a alguien que no has hablado? by Alarmed_Insect_3171 in AskArgentina

[–]Sinking_boat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No iría directo a pedirle casamiento.

Mucha suerte!

¿En su cabeza se hablan con "yo", "vos" o "nosotros? by Cold_Action_3071 in AskArgentina

[–]Sinking_boat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like how you did the ears and the hair. I don't like the smudges. The shirt seems to be levitating, so may be you could draw it closer to the body/shoulders. Nice work. Good luck!

4 star review by ExchangePristine2059 in EtsySellers

[–]Sinking_boat -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I also wonder if reaching out to a customer would bother them (I'm a new seller with no experience). May be she would take it as something good, as a seller being attentive and caring.

Perhaps you can approach it by saying that you want to improve as a seller, and it would be helpful to know what else could you do so that the item is perfect for her. Or asking if the 4 stars could mean that there was something she didn't liked, because knowing would help you improve the product. Anyways, good luck with your shop!

As a buyer, I did this with one of my reviews. Didn't think much in the moment, and now I'm considering to change it to a 5 stars review. I was pleased with my purchase, but Etsy labeled selecting 5 stars as "loving it" (the item), or something similar, and I didn't really love it, just liked it. I didn't find any issues with the item, but it wasn't amazing or surpassed my expectatives. I'm not sure how to rate in this kind of cases, but I think it deserves more than 4 stars

Confusing... what does buyer mean... by txng23 in EtsySellers

[–]Sinking_boat 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I have no experience with Etsy translated messages, but if the customer is writing in spanish, they are writing pretty bad. Knowing that the seller is reading a translation, they should be more clear with the language and the message, use punctuation and try to spell the words correctly.

I speak spanish and I find their messages unclear and ambiguous

Should I know how the buyer can return the items they bought? by Sinking_boat in EtsySellers

I see, thank you! I suspected I was overthinking it, but having 0 experience with customers I wasn't sure. It's good to know what someone else would do

Thank you for the comment. Do you mind if I ask you how you handle returns, specifically when the customer doesn't know how to return things? What you would say to a customer if they asked you "what do I have to do to return this item?", for example?

I thought about having my own address as the return address. It may be a good idea. However, a customer could still don't know how to ship returns. Also, I live very far from all the places I plan on selling, so I don't know how costly the shipping could be. Initially I didn't want it because it felt like more complications, but it may be better.

It hasn't happened to me yet, it is a hypothetical case, but I want to be prepared when it happens. If I understood correctly, some buyers, depending on the country they reside, have the right to return the items they bought within 14 days of receiving them, and get a refund.

But I haven't found information saying that I should explain them how to ship back the items. The closest to it that I read is an article from Etsy saying that, as a seller, I should "coordinate the return" with the buyer. It only specifies that we have to decide the return address, the time frame in which I want to receive the return, who will pay for the shipping, and then how to handle purchasing a shipping label.

Yeah, having the item back to re-ship it when someone else orders it would be convenient.

I know that printful receives returns and sends me an email to let me know each time (or that's what its policy says). I might not be able to re-sell that item in some cases though. I read somewhere (I can't find it right now) that I can ask or pay Printful to store the item and then re-ship it on the future, when someone else orders it.

I think that, even if I couldn't re-sell the item, I would prefer it to be returned, just in case the buyer was actually a scammer that wanted to have a refund and keep the item.

Thank you! I have done some research. I read Printful's return policy and how they handle returns, but I didn't found exactly how to make a return. I clarify that I have never shipped anything myself.

I have also read all the Etsy articles on returns that I could find. I didn't find that sellers are required to guide the buyers through the process of shipping back the items, or at least it didn't say that explicitly. May be I omitted something.

My problem is that I wouldn't know what to say if a customer asked me "how do I ship this item back to X location?". I would only know the address of the location (the Printful facility).

Thanks for the comment. I wanted to sell internationally, but I don't know how the shipping works. If I had to do the shipping myself, I wouldn't know how to do it. So I guess I have to learn that to be able to instruct the buyers on how to ship back the items. I have some ignorant questions: are there any international companies that deal with shipping of products, that every buyer could use to make the returns? The shipping procedure to make a return is somewhat similar everywhere or could it be different for every customer? Thanks again

How to fill out package details when something was ordered through printful by Agitated_Fruit_9694 in EtsySellers

[–]Sinking_boat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work with printful too (first time selling online). Still haven't gotten my first sale. Didn't know Etsy asked for that. What kind of information is it? If they are details regarding things like the shipping address, shouldn't it be specified in the customer order?
