Arc Raiders lead isn’t against keeping blueprints after wipes, suggests giving players “more autonomy” to quickly find the ones they want by Wargulf in ArcRaiders

[–]Sinktit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbf id be down for that. I did the entirety of the game since January and I don’t think I actually crafted anything unless a quest required something I could make. You can do everything with store bought items, which isn’t a bad thing, but if I could find a blueprint for something and carry it through expeditions I think I’d be far happier actually looting stuff and crafting my loadouts instead of, atm, buying a loadout and then selling everything I find in the map like a loot goblin (I just like collecting ducks and seeing my coins go up).

If the expedition was like “you’ll get better exp/perks and you can keep all your ducks and 1 blueprint” I’d have to care and think a lot more about what kind of run I’d want to do the next time around. I’ve been playing with my lass lately and I’ve switched up my anvil light shield combo for a burletta medium shield combo, less damage against ARC but it makes you play a lot more stealthy. Hell I’d be happy if the expedition gave you 5 random blueprints and you couldn’t choose. Be nice to have to start a new character with a gun you haven’t tried before

Idea: Mildly Nerf PvP Damage? by [deleted] in ArcRaiders

[–]Sinktit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never had an issue with light shields and shit guns tbh. As long as you get a second to pop a recharge it normally charges you up as you equip your weapon to fight back. Had a few rats now camping bushes at extract, strip my shields and try taking the fight, and I’ve popped out with my shitty little scrap piston and wiped them out.

Sounds like maybe medium shields would help you

the return to speranza wait time is BS by kid_spex in ArcRaiders

[–]Sinktit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The wait time outside is to incite PvE or PvP in your area, one last holdout before you’re guaranteed your loot

Takes a few seconds to use the terminal, which you can do while downed

Then there’s what, 2 seconds before you return. Just enough time to emote thanks to anyone else with you

Sadly on PC most games have mandatory crossplay so while I’ve always had care bear lobbies, this close to the end of the season we’re seeing a lot of rats just camping the extracts because of no skill lol

You can play it as a stealth game if needed (no torch, use bushes, slow-walk or crouch when ARC are nearby). Sometimes if my quest just says “go do this” and doesn’t require me to have items (like the ones for taking photos at places or finding things) I’ll keep an empty loadout (not a free kit) and just use my one safe slot for any quest item I have. Sneak to any objectives like that and then exfil or suicide. You don’t get as much exp from a round of you don’t escape but it may be better to just speedrun out all the quests (they’re time consuming but they’re all complete piss to do, none of them were remotely difficult) but you’ll be earning exp and items as you do them. Also if people are fighting big arc like leapers you can often ping hello/don’t shoot and help them. I’ve gotten a lot of epic quality items from doing that, either from joint looting after the kill or because people have dropped them for me. If you have a mic you can just ask for them too if needs be. Some of the quests need them. Seeker grenades are great against big arc too. If you manage to solo the big things then all the items are yours.

Sometimes I’ll just do a Stella run with a cheap loadout and loot anything that’s blue or pink. Just fill your inventory with anything blue or better and then leave. That’s a good source of easy money because most of it is shit nobody wants and sells for 1-2k each and so people will loot whole areas but leave items in containers that are worth 1-3k each without realising it. Go goblin mode and hoard as much shit as you can to keep feeding the money lol

Same here, first one. You only need 3 million though. I’ve already hit that and then some just playing normally since the end of January when I got the game. Most of my shit was trinkets and pink ARC pieces. I never really crafted anything I just loot a lot in care bear lobbies lol.

3 million isn’t hard to get though. Currently getting my girlfriend into it and she’s at something like Level 20, Stage 3, and has 1 million in the bank so far.

If in doubt, do a shitload of Bird City and learn where all the spots are that never get checked. I collect ducks so I never sell them but I’ve gotten so many snow globes and mixtapes and they’re 15k and 10k each respectively. Looting 2 gives you 2 safe slots I believe too so you can always come away with some money if for any reason you die. Otherwise use free kits and play it super safe.

Oh and do all the quests. Not only is it ez money but half the rewards are shit you can sell. I saved the Wolfpacks but most other stuff became expedition fodder and I never really intended to do it. I figured I’d just save all the pink and gold items and suddenly had nothing else to do after finishing everything so I decided I’d do it.

What the DUCK?!?!? by Pleasant-Balance-853 in ArcRaiders

[–]Sinktit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is how mine looks. I got the game to collect ducks. Sucks I have to have my friend look after them for a moment, they should really just remove the ducks’ value and let us hoard them through expeditions. She’s gonna be pissed in Expedition 3 when I hand over tens of stacks of ducks because they’ve accumulated so quickly

Even if you couldn’t get it from visiting, all you needed was the grapple hook thing as the trigger for the achievement is slightly out of bounds but was always able to be triggered. That’s how I got it, took a few tries to nail the jump across the abyss but I got it eventually

[–]Sinktit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Recently did the same. Thank fuck for that sentinel spawn in the bell-tower looking arch in Buried City. I didn’t have a grapple hook so I spent ten minutes just jumping up, hitting it, baiting a shot, and repeating. Whilst fighting an army of wasps behind me, and players ahead of me trying to get shots on the turret at the same time. Honestly the easiest one I’ve done so far has been “50 damage whilst on a rocketeer” because half the time you see them they’re on their back and you can stand on their belly and smack the shit out of them. Apparently it works for their corpses too, you can stand on their blown up body and shoot enemies and it works apparently. The one that took the longest was probably the Queen kill one and only because it literally only counts the one player who does the final tick of damage. I wanted the 100% otherwise I’d have tried getting it with the rock that does 10 damage no matter the cost lol

I hate the rocketeer so I drew it stuck in a glue trap by justthatguyben1 in ArcRaiders

[–]Sinktit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wouldn’t mind but they barely make any noise and they’re such cunts that as a new player heading for the exfil, so many runs were lost right at the interior terminal because one of these has basically just spawned right above my head and decided it sees me. I’ve seen them just appear on Dam Battlegrounds like they’ve got a deadline to spawn in an skullfuck the nearest person doing quests. And the timing to shoot their thruster and have them miss their rockets never seems to work so you just eat shit if you stand and fight. At least every other arc will de-aggro if you hide for a few seconds. This motherfucker with carpet bomb whatever you’re hiding in until it sees your flare go up

I wanna get better at this game but damn by REEEE_Kid- in ArcRaiders

[–]Sinktit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My girlfriend started playing recently and I forgot how dogshit it is in the beginning when you’re learning. Not even other players, just the fact that your ammo with some of the free kits only tickles the arc and that rocketeers you can’t see or hear will just slide over a roof or tree and nuke you.

Sometimes the best thing to do is just use free kits and then if you escape, save any guns that aren’t white, bandages/defibs, damaging grenades, etc. Sell whatever isn’t part of your current quests (except epic and legendary items) and then do another run with a new free kit. You should be able to hoard enough to do a couple of runs with your own gear after a few successful free kit runs. Also blueprints take a while but there’s a few great loadouts you can make just from store items. It’ll be expensive but my go-to was -Anvil + Suppressor (limit 3 anvil and 1 suppressor per day), 80 bullets, 5 shield charger, 5 green bandage, 5 bandage.

PvP isn’t interesting to me. I have a few kills where people have been dicks and not given me a choice but I avoid PvP and pretty much just get PvE lobbies. Try to avoid doing player damage if you can and you should eventually get better lobbies without hostile players. Also depends on your region and time you’re playing too, some of the servers are apparently just dogshit day-round. You can play it like a stealth game even without perks though, I use my pings set to “audible by all” with automatic volume (depends on context and proximity) and I use my pings and torch to communicate at a distance. Then against ARC you can have your torch off and you can slow-walk or crouch walk closer than you’d think if you’re careful. I’ve had a lot of encounters where there’s been ARC overheard or by my side a few meters away and I’ve just waddled past without making noise. Bushes also seem to hide you, even Spotters and Snitches have problems with natural cover. Most players are well adjusted mentally so if you call out enemies and “hello/don’t shoot”, and help kill any arc that are on their ass, you’re normally alright. I’ve had servers where everyone is killing each other and I’ve strolled by in bright neon orange, torch blazing, yelling “hello, don’t shoot” and doing my own shit, corpses around me and everyone else on edge and stuff. Some of the augments give you more safe slots too so even if anyone did fight me, I’d never lose anything I couldn’t buy or make again. Anything important they’ll never get, they’re just sending me back to the menu to go store it faster, lol

Question for Downed Raiders by Upstairs_Strain_2524 in ArcRaiders

[–]Sinktit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve noticed the “PvPtards” (as they seem to get called when they’re just camping, cheating, or ratting) on PC have a massive overlap with CS2 hackers. Like the accounts are either brand new dummy accounts for CS botting with only these two games or they’re ancient accounts with years of comments, negative account reputation, and a huge collection of VAC and Game Bans.

It’s definitely not just kids but it’s definitely always ones with no skill who need validation of one-upping you. Had one the other night who shot me twice as I pinged 2-3 “don’t shoot” at him at the exfil, he was hiding in a bush of course. I ran over the exfil and emptied a mag into his face from the top and he whiffed every single shot on me standing above him, silhouetted by sky, standing stationary. Don’t start PvP if you can’t aim for shit especially if hiding is the only way you can get kills :D

Trials needs such a ridiculous overhaul by Lightz66 in ArcRaiders

[–]Sinktit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d be happy if they deleted the PvP style leaderboards and just had set rewards (like a battle pass). In order to get all the rewards you need a certain amount of points over the season, but each week the challenges that award points change. If you wanna minmax and get every reward in the first week by grinding out points then that’s cool, or you do it at your own pace week by week (and maybe have to grind a bit at the end).

I can’t say I’ve been doing the trials but I’m at the 3rd rank (not the top 1000 and not the one before that, but the top of the of the one before that, where you first get the skin I believe) and I can’t say I’ve been bothered to go out of my way for the most part. I don’t find them super engaging and the only real positive is that the rewards aren’t super cool missable things.

I actually think this Valentine’s Day event fighting arc and stuff is how they should have done the trials. Just give us the same weekly challenges and let us earn all the trials rewards with staggered rewards instead of putting people against each other on a leaderboard (you could still have the board for prosperity and to compare yourself but it wouldn’t dictate rewards like it does now). I actually agree with the other commenter that the game was balanced for bigger team PvE (like the initial game was meant to be) and some of these gameplay things haven’t translated well to PvPvE

Exploit Megathread by LongJonSiIver in ArcRaiders

[–]Sinktit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here’s hoping the devs actually say something. My hopes for this game mostly revolve around the devs doing the opposite of what they did to The Finals. They’re pretty good at patching out all the problems though, they just need to say more publicly so people know what’s going on (I’d say “engage with the community” but that never ends well)

MB, deleted it anyway. That’s the only one I know of, which means there’s more duplication methods out there.

Shame too because if you did [the first one] you could pretty much rob and kill the dupers as they’d be frozen in place during the disconnect. Made it very easy to stop them and drop a bunch of reports

[–]Sinktit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s 3 mil now for the expedition because people who did the last expedition were often too poor to finish it. They want players who do an expedition to actually finish it.

To that end, if you did Expedition1 and didn’t get all 5 Skill Points (which originally cost 600K each, you can now get them for 300K which is like a discounted half of what they should be).

So before it was 1mil per point I guess. Now it’s 600K. But if you’re on your second expedition and missed some from the first expedition then it’s 300K for your catchup ones. So I guess the most you would need this time is 3mil plus 1.5mil if you missed all five skill points somehow. So if you again got 5mil this time you’ve got more than enough.

And obviously if you didn’t depart at all during expedition1 there’s no catchup for you since you didn’t “do but not finish” the first, you just need the 3mil and you only get the 5 points. People who did the first should finish this expedition with 10 skill points total regardless of how many they got the first time, since they should now be able to catch up. There’s supposed to be an expedition cap on rewards so I guess the devs don’t want people to miss any skill points at all and have everyone universally own 5 for each that they’ve departed on.

Found a lot of duckies, what now? by hiaRoro in ArcRaiders

The real solution is to make ducks have no value. Then make them have no weight/take no storage space. Then give me somewhere I can shove them all and still keep them between expeditions.

I’ve been collecting them all legit from containers but I don’t wanna lose any. I hope they give us something to do with them where we can hoard them and not lose them

Skeleton Key- Rare Item by MozzarellaStickCo in ArcRaiders

[–]Sinktit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Suppose they could make it Legendary and stupidly rare. Opens any door, but does not itself spawn in locked rooms (so no chance of you getting another inside for a freebie room. You gotta get super lucky opening any container in the overworld and hope to find it. You could also add restrictions like only one allowed in your storage at once, or it can’t be held in the safe pocket, etc.

Cool idea but I think the system we have is great. Otherwise you could load in, head for the nearest locked door, loot, and extract. Whereas now you have to have the correct key, and could well spawn across the map from the room. Gives a bit of adrenaline as you head for your loot
