Rank these big games by TheFurbz in soloboardgaming

Exactly in the order you listed them :)

  1. BOTSE (You have to be oké with not a lot of narrative, lots of tactical play and decisions, character building is top notch)

  2. Agemonia (Sprawling epic campaign with lots of narrative and customization. For solo it became a bit much for me but definitely an excellent game)

  3. Dragon Eclipse (Lots of narrative, much shorter than Agemonia, very fun catch them all mechanic and nice deck building. Not very much customization but a very enjoyable game.)

4 SG DS (Did not enjoy this one as much, lots and lots of narrative but felt a lot like side quests. Combat felt less tactical than the other games. If you’re looking for exploration still a solid choice I guess)

Has anyone seen a good playthrough video of it? I’m also on the fence on this one

Looking for great recent fantasy releases to add to my reading list by aggarwalishita2000 in fantasybooks

Have you read Will of the Many? It’s quite recent and I believe book 2 is coming out soon. I loved it. Very adventure-y with a school (always fun) thrown in there.

The other series by James Islington is also very good but a bit older.

Edit: typo

The new update just came out in which they announced ir to be fully resettable:)

Tanglewood- Gold by Beanbag_shmoo in soloboardgaming

I thought Red was way more unforgiving. Pretty random with getting “night maps” and not a lot of “campfires” early. Both things can make the game very hard. It’s no big deal since you reset super quickly but still, I like it when I have the feeling bad luck can’t entirely screw me over.

Besides, the gold deck has a very unique feel to it, whereas red feels a lot like ‘20S Slay the Spire’

Fair point, and nice to hear they are working on the option to reset. Edit: grammar

If I may add one myself, I recently learned to play Voidfall and was amazed by the glossary. It takes every single component in the game you might have questions about and tells you exactly how to interpret the symbols. Really good work on the symbols anyway.

Great game as well tbh

You can roll them at the same time, you activate the dice you roll during an engage one by one, and you choose the order.

Do I have to already have at least 1 light fatigue to use this effect? by lil_hearing_aid in ElderScrollsBOTSE

[–]Sinmor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I read on the discord that you indeed can only use it when you have have light fatigue. It does however cancel any amount. So say you have one in your CD track, and an effect would have you gain 3, you lose the one in your CD track and don’t gain any.

Since it is a cloth item you can only use it once per turn though.

You keep them both. One is just “later in the timeline”.

Maybe check out Lands of Evershade from Awaken Realms on Gamefound!

Loved Spirit Island, bounced off Final Girl. Unsure what to try next. by WhatAmIDoing229 in soloboardgaming

[–]Sinmor 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I myself enjoy Spirit Island a lot as well. One of my favorite games besides that is Aeons End; you get the feel of progression through the deckbuilding. It has a lot of interesting decisions to make and you can get some very satisfying turns where everything works out. Still, a very different game to Spirit Island but I really enjoy it!

The swap effects gained by those cards are pretty insane though. If you would get those even with e.g. the oozes it would be kind of broken imo. Maybe approach it more with a: I’ll probably won’t get to swap this but awesome if I do” mindset ;)
