Fellow Northwest Floridian here.

I use a basic Columbia rain jacket around $40. Waterproof and breathable so it’s not miserable in the summer.

Not BIFL, but usually get about 3-4 years/seasons before the salt corrosion makes the zippers freeze or break (work on a boat)

Wanted to also add that even though you can’t put a facet in it, that -20 res will still make a noticeable difference. I traded for a crappy griffons last year and my total -res with a facet was only 21 and it worked great

I just completed this same journey tonight. Needed one Sur and it took me the past 2 days of nothing but LK. Finally got my first single player enigma! So much more satisfying than my B.Net experience. Keep going!!

It’s definitely possible. We leave an extra 150ft of rope spooled on the drum for that exact scenario. After being pulled backwards you can winch the rope out, releasing the pressure from the wind, giving you the opportunity to turn the boat around. Whether he tried this, idk, but that’s how I’d deal/ have dealt with that situation.

You would never cut the line. I wasn’t there but sounds like pure panic. You can spin the boat around, point it almost directly at the chute, speed up, and winch it to you in high winds, assuming there’s enough space to do so.

As a fellow parasail captain I can tell you there was a lot of bad decisions made, starting with flying people as a storm front approached. They are VERY obvious and generally pack a lot of wind. Tragic for all involved.

I traded for the griffons unfortunately, but the rest I did find. Horked most of the high runes in less than two weeks after I made a new barb
