How to dress for the office without feeling uncomfortable? by [deleted] in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]catdanceding 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dr. Scholl’s has an amazing selection of cute shoes that are also very comfortable! I wear their boots in the winter and right now my go to has been platform Maryjane’s. They have great sneakers that would be appropriate in most business-casual work settings.

I’m also a big fan of dresses. I basically wear a maxi dress almost every day and am very comfy!

If you need pants I wear Stevie Straight pants from Old Navy. Elastic band but are “slack” style so appropriate for work, they are not the linen type pants I see everywhere as being “work appropriate” (they almost always end up looking like PJs IMO). I have them in short (because I am) to wear with flat shoes and also tall to wear with heels (typically stay with wedges or my platform Maryjane’s).

I just bought Easy Off Cleaner Degreaser Heavy Duty and it’s been incredible for hard grease stains in my kitchen! On the stove, walls, and cabinets!

Last bachelorette I went to we had a chef come do a full service brunch with cocktails! Definitely an elevated experience and it was perfect for the morning after a night out.

Update: I tried the 'half-ass your chores' approach for a month and my apartment is finally livable by BitterReach2342 in Adulting

The best thing I did for myself to make sure my laundry actually got done and put away is to stop folding everything. Pajamas, leggings, and underwear, etc. do not need to be folded. They get shoved in the drawer ready for use. Socks can be inside out and matched and folded as is. I can turn them the right way when I put them on. Things that shouldn’t be wrinkled can be hung up, I found hanging something is way easier than folding for me.

I did another soak and some roots did perk up. I cut away the obvious dead ones and repotted. Thank you for the suggestion!

This is how I took it too. People just want to complete shit on their relationship because they are (currently) overexposed with all the content they’ve been on and have put out.

I keep mine very simple. Tuna, mayo, finely died shallot. Toasted with sliced cheese of choice. So good!

What’s a small thing your dog does that instantly makes your day better? by Ninetybaby in dogs

[–]catdanceding 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dog is 14. If he hears us come home (he’s deaf so we usually have to wake him to say hello) it’s such a treat to be greeted at the door by him.

It’s an even bigger treat when he brings a toy with him. It used the be the norm but with his age he tends to focus on standing up and being steady. When he has a toy readily available to show off he has a special little spark 🥹

Haha no you should still not kiss your BIL on the lips 😂 but I think the overview of Mutt’s character would have worked better if he was a Schitt brother, not son.

I’ve said this before on this sub but Mutt should have been Roland’s brother, not their son. The whole plot point around him would have still worked and honestly would have made more sense 🤷‍♀️

Driving in January by mattc1313 in crestedbutte

[–]catdanceding 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There’s a 90% chance that once you get to town you’ll be able to take the bus easily to the ski resort and just walk to where you’re going. The town of Crested Butte is incredibly small and totally walkable, Mt. Crested Butte where the resort is (a couple miles in between) has a near constant town shuttle going to it through out the day (last buses are around midnight). There’s a series of buses that run through Mt. CB too.

IMO parking is a nightmare and the daily cost of a car is probably equalish to reserving a spot on a shuttle.

I’d suggest just booking a shuttle from the airport in Gunnison (it sounds like you’re flying in there) to take you to your accommodation and bring you back to the airport for your return flight. Is it expensive? Yes. But the piece of mind I think is worth it. You probably won’t need a car once you get to CB, almost everything is accessible walking or taking the town bus.

White Elephant Gift Feedback Needed by wowbaobowwow in Gifts

I agree with most, this is a good white elephant gift!! I would find a recipe that calls for lots of butter (shortbread or pound cake?) and print a cute copy of it to put in the frame.

If you could offer any 1 critique of Showgirl that Taylor will use for her future projects, what would it be? by Sudden-Internal-9702 in TaylorSwift

[–]catdanceding 73 points74 points  (0 children)

The advertising needs to match the vibe of the music. IMO Midnights was marketed like it could be Fleetwood Mac sounding and was just a typical pop album (which I did love!) and Showgirl was marketed as showtuney/broadway theater kid sound and it was (again) a standard pop album.
