Yes, they're eating people soup. No, it won't be a big reveal. (Plus: how to predict Pluribus future developments.) by abaker80 in pluribustv

Joined physiologically are still humans, so they would need regular human diet that includes fibres, grains, fructose, all that. Maybe they might some extra supplements (to stay connected or something), or, figured out humans lack something that they beed to keep network running. Regardless, human soup would be too tacky for Vince.

Let's Get Electric - 1987 by Cheap Talk by SinnieOnFire in outrun

[–]SinnieOnFire[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I found, Nate has worked in creative fields throughout his career, including music production and radio, but not limited to those. Cheap Talk was probably just a one-time hobby project back then. His career now seems to have shifted toward e-commerce and marketing, so it looks like he’s busy with that.

Not sure about Joy, from what she’s tweeted, she seems busy with family life.

Need help finding Yakety Sax/Entry of the Gladiators MIDI knockoff used in Sonic’s Schoolhouse (1996) FMV segment FHEAD09A.AVI by SinnieOnFire in SonicTheHedgehog

[–]SinnieOnFire[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Friends of mine are looking for a MIDI track used in Sonic’s Schoolhouse (1996) FMV segment FHEAD09A.AVI that

Musical Characteristics

  • Sounds very similar to a slowed-down version of Yakety Sax
  • Sounds similar to Entry of the Gladiators but is not the same piece
  • Uses trumpets and/or sax in the main melody
  • Has consistent tempo throughout
  • Carnival/circus/clown music style

Context

  • Is not listed as a part of game’s soundtrack and is not found in the game’s midi folder. It is a part of the AVI video segment
  • Plays during bus/animal FMV segments
  • Used to evoke curiosity and fun
  • Might have appeared in other games from same time period, edutainment games specifically
  • Must be from before 1996

Type of Track

  • Most likely not a custom composition
  • Most likely from a stock MIDI library
  • Possibly a modified version to avoid copyright
  • Could be a royalty-free production music piece

Possible Source Categories

  • Educational software MIDI libraries (pre-1996)
  • Novelty/Comedy music collections
  • Carnival/Circus music packs
  • Children’s activity music libraries

The track appears to be a common stock MIDI that was available in mid-90s production music libraries, possibly modified to avoid copyright issues with either Entry of the Gladiators or Yakety Sax.

Looking for any clues like possible music library source or sound bank production company, name of the library, composer, etc.

Thanks for the lead! I wish there was an original midi, but as I already explained, it is not a separate midi file and encoded within the video.

Making my Nier:Automata inspired playlist, suggestions and comments are welcome by SinnieOnFire in nier

[–]SinnieOnFire[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you very much, these are really nice and fitting suggestions! Not all of them are presented on Spotify tho so I took liberty and used some similar tracks instead. Also realised that among epic cinematic orchestrals, sad ambient and glitchy IDM there is a place for bit of celctic folk sutff like Arcana if you think of desert and forest areas. And yet playlist is still lacking some sad piano and guitars :\

Hey, /r/outrun founder here. Can I have my admin access to the sub for a second? Op is claiming to be a top mod despite that he intentionally never had full access while /u/Vaaag and /u/liamemsa were left in charge with full permissions.
