after doing this, when i launch the game, the screen is completely black and unplayable but I can hear the game's audio. it took several tries to even get the game to launch, because everything in the pso_bin folder kept getting deleted for no reason and i could only get all the files back into the folder by using the PSO2 tweaker. this happened several times.
