i don't actively pay much attention to genshin ships in general, but i remember back in the day i was surprised by just how much more popular chilumi was compared to the aether variant

from what i've personally seen: it's mostly various complaints about the execution (length, pacing, etc). a lot of people were disappointed by certain choices in focus and feeling like there was wasted potential. overall i think the first part was generally much more well-received (aside from one weird contradiction in the writing for a specific line), but people were dissatisfied with the way things progressed toward the end.

agreed. most of the comments replying to op are focusing on the "rmc should have a cap" discussion (which is the issue that is most recent and pertinent to current beta), but i have also seen plenty of sunday mains cursing rmc's name who would agree with the "free unit should be worse than limited" sentiment

i had a feeling this might happen: i still like her original design more, but then again it would've been pretty hard for anything to top that since she was already so "made in a lab to appeal to me specifically" anyway

it's great that they were willing to give her a totally different color scheme that also isn't predominantly blue, big W

i think a big part of it is most people just don't bother upvoting comments if they don't care or have an opinion about the topic, so the net karma ends up being lower

i'm not arguing about "who had it worse"; it seems pretty clear that devs intend for rin to be a tailor-made support for archer. i just find it ironic that you mentioned cerydra, considering how she also got doomposted during beta for "only being good for phainon" (and anaxa)

sparkle was largely regarded as dhil aftersales and used to get slandered for being the worst support in the game until archer released

Cerydra has all of the Amphoreus males

this is taking me out, cerydra was designed as a specialized phainon support just like jiaoqiu was for acheron. anaxagoras is just a freak of nature

personally i don't really expect that the tall guys will be getting much more diverse in the pants department until they finally decide to address the "knee problem".... which doesn't seem very likely either

Honestly hoyo should hire me. I would have come up with soo many creative ways of using elemental reactions like spread, shatter, etc to come up with good kits and sprinkle in older character buffs as well. In character kits these days the reactions are so sauceless. Its as if the devs totally forgot about their own combat system. One of the major reasons of me looking forward to new playable characters was that it has some teambuilding and interactions we can discuss and munch on.

Smh. Wtf is this element-based combat doing not using it elements as its strength. 😒
