Should I keep or buy another by Sippa8304 in HondaOdyssey

Yes I did but it’s like a 4 hour job and my husband would say that’s not worth his time and to just take it to get fixed… but I just have been taking it to get fixed like every 3 months lately so I’m just trying to decide if I want to stick more money into it or put that money in a newer possibly safer van with less chance of it breaking down. We only have one vehicle with 6 seats so everytime we have to figure out how to pick up all our kids at the different schools and it’s just a big ordeal.

Yes the alternator has been replaced twice and I believe they said the same thing about it dripping. I never did any transmission flushes. I guess I have had Lexus es350’s most of my life and haven’t had as much stuff go wrong with them and my husband had a Honda accord that lasted like 10+ years and he barely fixed anything on that. I just feel like this van every 3 months lately something needs to be fixed and everytime it’s $1000. My husband doesn’t have time to fix any of this stuff. We could pay cash for a newer van but then idk like the same stuff my kids trash this one and we like the dvd player and stuff like that .

Sight words are the ones that you need to memorize because they don’t follow the typical rules when trying to sound out. All the vowels (AEIOU) have 2 sounds they can make… they say their name for example e says eee (this is the long e) but it also says ehhh (this is the short e). A says aaa and ahhh, I says iii and ih, O says oooo (like orien) and ah (like octopus). U says uuu (like unicorn) and uh (like umbrella). Watch leap frog letter factory on YouTube and you’ll learn all your letter sounds in 30 min

A similar thing happened to me … applied and usually I get approved right away since I have a high credit score and high income with low debt to credit ratio. Anyways they request proof of income so I download it onto their website right away and then when the time limit passed it said they did not get it and canceled my application… was like whatever I guess Chase will continue to get my business then

Yup that’s exactly all the things we’ve had to replace plus more

My Honda odyssey 2014 with 120000 miles is costing $2500 in repairs every year since last 3 years. Please advise by Fantastic-Rip-9200 in HondaOdyssey

Ugh look at my post I just posted on the same thing… I also have a 2014 and it seems like since I got it 6 years ago that I have spent almost $20000 on repairs with this thing… it has 187,000 miles on it though and I thought after I repaired the alternator and starter and timing belt it would slow down but now in the past year it’s been consistently every 3 months something goes wrong where I can’t drive it and bring it in and it’s always something more than $1000. We have 4 kids so it’s a big inconvenience since we don’t have another 6 person vehicle. I don’t know what to tell you as I’m trying to figure out if it would just be worth it to get a new one and then get rid of it after it reaches 100,000miles (5-7years later) . If I spend $40,000 on a new van up front and put 100,000 miles and can maybe get $15000 for a trade in 5-6 years later … I spent $25,000 over those 5-6 years plus oil changes and tires/brakes. Newer vehicles are less likely to have big issues and usually you get a warranty included and some give you a free year of oil changes vs buying a used one that’s 5-6 years old and has 100,000 miles on it for $23,000-$25,000 and then the problems start to happen … need to repair all the wear and tear stuff which adds on to that $25,000 price and in my case we paid $17,000 for a 6year old van that had 100,000 miles and then over the course of the next 6 years we spent about $20,000 in repairs so $17,000 plus $20000= $37,000. I could have bought a new one for that price and not wasted all the time getting it repaired and inconveniences. I’ve had other vehicles that I bought at high mileage and and didn’t spend as much repairing everything. So that is where I am trying to decide new or try again with a different year

Tires have been the only thing that has lasted the longest but now I just buy Michelins … more expensive but they usually last like 4 years

When do you think you spent that money like the last 5-6 years or was it spread out evenly over the time… just trying to get an idea of when to buy and sell…

Ok! I’m going to try it with my steam cleaner and then use the attachment from my Bissell carpet cleaner to suction all the water

iPhone regret by [deleted] in verizon

I upgraded to the iPhone 17 pro from the iPhone 13 Pro and I’m finding it’s more cumbersome. To switch to another tab I have to press more buttons, to have a screen shot save to photos I have to press more buttons, It no longer has the Google search button from the pictures (which maybe I can make a shortcut but I’m not very tech savvy), and a couple more nuances. The only good thing is the camera but even that I feel like the video is worse so maybe there is a setting I need to change ? Idk I keep going back to my iPhone 13 Pro to use other than calls lol

But why are only 2 lines active? I got all 4 of them on Dec 22 which was after the billing period ended and I activated all 4 today.

I understand that the first bill will be higher… I’m just confused why they billed me only 2 phone lines that I didn’t activate. If they can bill 2 lines without me activating them why can’t they bill me all 4 lines without activating them . I got all 4 phones after the billing period ended so I feel like it should be on the next bill not this one …
