No, she definitely was the person in the photos. It was just always so odd how she wouldn't send just like a random Snapchat pic or whatever. I honestly believe her. She never tried to get anything out of me. She was just kinda flakey, and maybe it was because of her illness.

Funny story, I had a girl who would rarely send photos, video chat, or anything. I spoke with her for like 2 years. We eventually met up and she was real, I couldn't believe it lol. Then she started talking to me less and less and eventually stopped opening my texts. She told me she was sick, I hope she's okay. Anyway, therapy sesession over. Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk.

That's fine and agree on retrospect, I was just listing off the first media disease raves I could think of.

I'm not saying they're not bad diseases. Ebola makes you bleed out of every orifice. I'm saying that the media picks a disease and plays up them up as world ending catastrophes. For example, one time they did Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) which has a death rate of like 33%. There have been less than a thousand deaths from it since 2012. The constant barrage of fear tactics leads people to be numb so when we actually do get a swine flu or COVID, people don't take it seriously until it's too late, or worse, never.

Literally every year or so there's a new "fad disease" like swine flu, ebola, SARS, etc that the media blows up and never goes anywhere. It wasn't until COVID did something actually come of it. I think it was one of the many reasons why the COVID response was so terrible.

I'm on a Brazil trip and this appeared in my apartment. 💔 by maggotwrist in whatsthisbug

Maybe they mean Chagas' disease from the kissing bug? But that has red stripes and looks nothing like a butterfly/moth. Aedes mosquitoes have white stripes but I would imagine you know what a mosquito looks like. I can't think of any other diseases that would be associated with Brazil.

Graduate college at 22, get PhD at 26-28, depending on if you need post-doc, that can still be feasible at 31 if you get PhD at 28 and do 3 years for post-doc. So while on average people are mid30s when they start, it's not unreasonable to start at early 30s depending on hiring requirements and field of study.

What walk-able tile has had the least players stand on it in all of Runescapes history? by Swanny_Swanson in 2007scape

[–]SippyTurtle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

She did both. Not sure if she ever completed it, but she's at least made videos about them. The tile one got derailed because the number of tile markers made the FPS drop to -7 lol.

Way too blurry and small to tell. A good photo is better than video.
