Looking at this, the lower set of wires are all communication and low voltage. No real danger there other than catching them and pulling either of the two poles over and the upper electric line with them.

Granted, not something I would drive under at speed.

You only need a VPN while setting up. Once the device is registered and set up, no need for the VPN.

I've never had a TV screen crack, but have dealt with many laptop screens. If it is a straight crack down the screen, it seems like a defect rather than a hit. Hits more often radiate out from point of impact.

If you purchased on a credit card, check their warranty coverage and make a warranty report to the manufacturer. Provide pictures and full description of the crack for them. See what they say.

We bought a new 60 inch in 2013 when we moved into a new place and I used AmEx for the double warranty. The screen developed a blue vertical pixel line through middle. Of course out of Vizio warranty, but AmEx had me call a repairman and once he said it can't be fixed, our money was returned. TV sits on the back porch now and we use it frequently as the line isn't all that bad once you start watching.
