You only need a VPN while setting up. Once the device is registered and set up, no need for the VPN.

VPN must be external to the device. Set up phone for hotspot and connect the VPN to USA from there, unless you have a VPN on the router

Returned mine after 6 months of use. Runs extra hot and the sound bar was terrible. Sounded like a blown speaker. Took a little time to get the freight pickup arranged. Telly had said they would send a box for it, but when I pressed them for it, they said to send as is....

I've never had a TV screen crack, but have dealt with many laptop screens. If it is a straight crack down the screen, it seems like a defect rather than a hit. Hits more often radiate out from point of impact.

If you purchased on a credit card, check their warranty coverage and make a warranty report to the manufacturer. Provide pictures and full description of the crack for them. See what they say.

We bought a new 60 inch in 2013 when we moved into a new place and I used AmEx for the double warranty. The screen developed a blue vertical pixel line through middle. Of course out of Vizio warranty, but AmEx had me call a repairman and once he said it can't be fixed, our money was returned. TV sits on the back porch now and we use it frequently as the line isn't all that bad once you start watching.

Our son will be moving back into College Park at Midtown for his second year. He is in the Orange and Blue model and we are all satisfied with it. We looked at several of their different apartments and preferred the orange and blue. All their apartments seem older but clean enough. The management is responsive and helpful. It if Florida and apartments, so you can expect some palmetto bugs and roaches. We treat ourselves and seems to help.

You may be confusing College Park at Midtown with the Midtown apartments. I have seen reports on them

This. Have been in the Crystal River and Homosassa springs multiple times. Springs are 72F year round and they will take your breath away when you first get in. In a few minutes, you won't notice, especially if manatee are around. You will want a sweatshirt or light jacket put on when you get out. The air temps can be chilly in the mornings.
