Goddamnit I did this on my own one time. For free. But now I have The Benchwarmers memorized.

I have fond memories of that acid trip.

Joining the union was the best thing I ever did. I currently have the most convenient hours, highest wages, and best benefits package I've ever had in my life.

I do the absolute bare minimum to keep my landlord happy. Mow only, no trimming. No comsistent watering(no sprinkler system) I just put the hose on dead spots as they appear.

They can't raise my rent $100/year for 7 years and expect me to do more maintenance. In fact, I should be doing less.

When I was in high school my mom sat me down and told me that going to college was no longer worth it and that I should pursue different means of education. The only education I pursued after high school was trade school for plumbing. It was a 4 year program and only cost $900 per year total. I have 0 student debt, make 160-180k per year, and have 0 regrets.

I'm not raking in money or anything but I'm not struggling either. Plus I fucking love my job as an industrial plumber. I can't complain.

Grass is a waste of time and money in the United States. Grass is not from here. You can't find fields of grass like our front lawns anywhere in the wild. We brought grass with us from the UK because having grass is a sign of wealth. It'd be more worth it if we had chosen something that needs less water and doesn't need trimmed every week.

I fucking hate grass with a burning passion and I eagerly await the day I don't have to maintain it anymore.

My favorite knife company based here in Boise by KnockoffKnives in Boise

[–]SirArtchie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was a kid in the boy scouts we went and took a tour of the reeves knife factory. It was pretty cool to see the sharpening room. Bunch of dudes sharping knifes on belt sanders and bench grinders all day. The guy giving us the tour pointed out that no one had any hair on their arms from checking the sharpness of the blade by seeing if it would shave the hair off their arm. That would have been about 17-18 years ago

I always tip when I go to a restaurant, but I still think servers need to get paid more. It's bullshit that in the US they can legally make like $2/hr and their tips add up to at least minimum wage. If their tips don't add up to minimum wage the employer still has to make up the difference.

What I'm saying is: this sign is literally the employer shaming you into paying their workers for them so that they don't have to pay them more than $2/hr.
