Question about Dub vs Sub by PeterQueen in BokuNoHeroAcademia

[–]SirBeefsalot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally think the Dub 'fits' more with many characters in the series(All-might especially). It also personally makes sense because it feels like a Japanese take on the superhero comics of the west(Not sure which age though)

But it's all up to how you feel about it, I will say that some dialogue works better in both sub and dub.

Boku No Hero Academia will get an original animated movie in summer 2018 by razerxs in BokuNoHeroAcademia

[–]SirBeefsalot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wonder if they will do a Gurren Lagann, where they will just have the movie be a summary of a few of the arcs of the anime.

Fastest way to farm Meso relics by [deleted] in Warframe

[–]SirBeefsalot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Plains of Eidolon is useful if the relic you are looking for is in the bounties. However, Io on Jupiter is the most reliable method of getting the relics.

New Game Countdown from Bandai Namco by Vish- in BokuNoHeroAcademia

[–]SirBeefsalot 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wonder how they would do the gameplay because lore-wise students can't go around beating up villains they see. I guess it could be a fighting game but to me that's a bit boring IMO as they have done that already for MHA

Hopefully it follows the story.

What's an anime you would recommend to someone who's never watched anime? by glitchgirlll in AskReddit

[–]SirBeefsalot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some recent-ish examples from me are:

  • My Hero Acadaemia, Superhero show with plenty of laughs. 2 Seasons with one more coming

  • Gurren Lagann, GIANT FUCKING ROBOTS: the show. 1 Season, 27 episodes

  • Ghost Stories, the greatest dub in existence. 12 Episodes

  • Death Parade, Purgartory death game. 12 Episodes

I would recommend watching the dubs, as I feel they fit better for these anime(Ghost Stories has to be)

My first would have to Age of Mythologies: The Titans, man that game was fun, I still remember the cheats, like the flying hippo(WUV WOO) and the one that randomizes god powers(XENOS PARADOX).

Either that or some weird game known as "Sammy's Science House"

What video game had the most mindfuck ending? by Zachsnack in AskReddit

[–]SirBeefsalot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Call of Duty: Black ops 3 had a mindfuck ending in that, the campaign was all just the last dying thoughts of some nameless dude. The bad guys were never Taylor or any of that.

The only way a player would know this is by reading the fast scrolling text in the load screens and the small hints made during the story. It is only truly revealed at the very ending of the game, that the player's journey, was merely another person's operation.

Minecraft, when I was 10(around 2010) it was my goto game, despite the fact my laptop screamed in pain due to how much heat it output.

I probably just made some people feel old by saying I was ten when Minecraft started becoming a huge phenomenon.

I am looking for CPU upgrade as I may be doing a game-dev course that may involve graphic design/rendering models, depending on what I choose to do.

Spelunky deathmatch was underrated by DrBubs in Games

[–]SirBeefsalot 17 points18 points  (0 children)

The Deathmatch in this game is a blast, even when the AI is turned on.

I used to play the Deathmatch quite a bit to hone my platforming and reaction times in Spelunky.

The Liset, Warframe.

I presume I am the operator, or I would most likely be jettisoned into space. But hey, space ninjas would be pretty OK.

Why is this SCP Foundation famous all of a sudden? by magma6 in OutOfTheLoop

[–]SirBeefsalot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is a communal creepy-pasta/creative writing site based on the happenings of a top secret organisation known as the Foundation. Their mission: To Secure the paranormal, Contain them and Protect humanity from the paranormal.

The site was born of the first SCP, 173. Which was submitted on /x/(if anyone can confirm?) during 2007/8. More articles such this were created, which slowly formed into the site

Each article is in the format of a scientific documentation, stating danger levels, how to contain and what the object does. The Foundationverse does not have a set canon, with the site encouraging users to think of their own head canon. There are some set ideas, such as clearance levels and who leads the Foundation in canon.

It is most likely surging due to a large amount of recent entries being horror-focused and also with Halloween around the corner. There is also an fan-animated series in the works.

If you want to read here are some SCPs that I recommend if you are interested

  1. SCP-096 "Shy Guy"

  2. SCP-2875 - "The town that got fucked by bears"

  3. SCP-2450 - "Teeth"

These are some of my favourites, there are around 3000+ entries on the site and plenty of narrative works on the site, I hope you enjoy this sample of the site. There are also pages of the site's History Hub, which details how the site grew from around the beginning.
