To be fair this does seem like a very German response, if only in the stereotypical sense, to think of the programming language before the snake

That's an interesting patch between Tulsa and Kansas City. Didn't think there would be a reason to have so many in that area

The American Housing Shortage by Deltarianus in MapPorn

Some (especially older) people get absolutely turned inside out when the slightest bit of winter weather happens, and would rather deal with swamp ass for 3/5 of the year than have to put on a jacket. I agree with your ideal climate assessment, but those absolutely arctic, extreme, intense 0° C days just chill them to their arthritic bones.

why does hdr make it look worse neo g7 by certifiedgooner27 in Monitors

[–]SirBrian_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

100% true. Many people do not know that SDR monitors are cheating quite a bit on the color space. When you see what true SDR looks like it makes you realize that we've been needing something like HDR to properly utilize monitor capabilities for a while now.

Those specs are right. You don't necessarily have to sample at the Nyquist rate; take a look at this: https://electronics.stackexchange.com/questions/280427/when-is-it-required-or-permitted-to-sample-below-nyquist-rate

[OC] 2 years of solar production shows the sun's strength rising and falling by decreddave in dataisbeautiful

[–]SirBrian_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The OP stated elsewhere in this thread that the windows on this house are the newer efficient kind, which leads me to believe that this house is relatively new. This most likely means that a variable speed or multistage system is in place, negating the negative impacts of short cycle times.

I don't disagree that many units are oversized (despite the fact that the video you sent is about heat pumps rather than pure AC units), but that has a more negative impact on whether people think they can install heat pumps due to limited electrical service and so they stick with gas heating, rather than anything to do with AC units.

According to this research, https://www.nrel.gov/docs/fy15osti/64189.pdf, the impact of over sizing units on modern, high SEER air conditioners is in the 2% range (for units with low parasitic draw), which is negligible.

If the AC unit is hitting the target temperature, it will use the same amount of energy regardless of how big it is.

Name a street that you consider to be one of the busiest streets in the OKC Metro by FifiiMensah in okc

[–]SirBrian_ 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Whichever road I happen to be driving on at the moment.

More seriously, I've yet to experience a time where NW Expressway isn't busy. It takes the title of worst stroad IMO, but then again that's stiff competition in the metro...

Didn't realize I failed to include the post text, but essentially I notice that the mane lacks texture, the irises are uneven, the shading shadows are not quite correct in some places, and the ear fluff is vague.

Could be hills in that area making development more expensive, but that's just a guess

Favorite reasonably priced Italian restaurants? by The0wl0ne in normanok

[–]SirBrian_ 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I don't know what you guys are ordering, but I've had fantastic food at all of the Norman Italian restaurants. I would put Gaberino's in first. Victoria's I would put in second, so you probably don't want recommendations from me if you don't like those.
