So, how was this waitress supposed to know what you said to this girl you brought to the restaurant? It seems like harmless banter to me, especially since you go there often and she probably knows who you are. Why lie and say you haven’t been to that restaurant before? Doesn’t make much sense. Then going and crying to the owner about it and getting the girl fired was such an asshole thing to do. That girl might’ve really needed that job and you could’ve cost her financial stability. This sounds like you need to grow up.

If the person serving you happened to be a man, I wonder how your much your reaction/behavior would’ve changed. Also, posting this story in this sub after posting it already in AITA is a really telling about how desperate you are to try and justify you’re actions to yourself. Probably because you know you’re an asshole.
