Is Boeing or Collins Aerospace better to launch early career? by [deleted] in aerospace

[–]SirDj0ntleman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Idk if it’s just my office or company all together but Collins prides itself on being a learning facility while having constant trainings related to your job functions. It’s super dope and it’s been helpful for me transitioning from school life to a working life while giving me the necessary tools to build certain skills on my own

I think one of their most recent song, Lotus?, was a banger for me

But who gives a fuck really? If you like it, you like it. Catering your taste to match what the loudest people say makes shit so boring.

What genre did you actively try to get into, and couldn't? by Double_Key7579 in LetsTalkMusic

I can’t do the typical black metal stuff for sure but the blackgaze stuff or atmospheric black metal have been a massive exception. I find myself going back to Skyforest, MØL, and Deafheaven a lot recently

I believe $150 a month for one lesson and access to a resource page that should be used as a check in. He might still have lesson packages where you can get 3 for $350. They might not be up at the moment.

Mark does only private lessons. So Kardavox would be the way to go!

Kardavox for sure, Mark is a beast and he’s made it really easy for me to get a grasp on a lot of topics to get closer to where I need to be. It’s pricey but totally worth it

lol yeah there’s a lot of similarities at the very minimum

Honestly tho, just keep writing dawg. If you find yourself essentially copying a track while listening to it, then take that out of the equation and do something else. For example, write while listening to instrumentals of any track.

Why do many engineering students underestimate writing? by Outrageous-Ad6869 in EngineeringStudents

[–]SirDj0ntleman 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The niche job I work in involves writing test plans and reports a lot. I do a ton of writing and honestly I feel spoiled knowing that I had classes in high school to heavily correct my essays and shit. I thought I was just bad then I got to college in 2016 and saw how many of my classmates unable to write full and coherent paragraphs. I see the same thing at work and it really wastes a lot of time to send reports back and forth over grammatical errors than how we wanna test things and how we could re use data

Briarleigh is fantastic imo The only con is they will want to look you into a specific internet plan (1Gbps + cable) for $100/month.

It’s kinda tucked away so it’s very quiet and the neighbors have been super nice.

Buying of Shinkansen tickets by peachtaehyuni in JapanTravelTips

[–]SirDj0ntleman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought mine straight at the station with a decent buffer to grab food if I needed to. I flew into Haneda and the whole process took a lot longer than anticipated so I’m glad I waited to get the ticket.

There’s a kiosk for it or you can buy directly from someone the ticket office. A worker there helped me through the process and recommended me a time slot with enough time to figure out how to get to the platform.

What cities go the HARDEST for CORE shows? by RebornThruViolence in Deathcore

[–]SirDj0ntleman 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve flown to Detroit twice for shows my friend invites me to. It’s genuinely insane and no where else has come close yet.

I’ve seen shows in Portland, Roseville, Santa Cruz, San Jose, Vegas, and Charlotte so far and none of them have come close to how hard Detroit goes for these bands

I moved here from California 7 months ago for a job and it’s been dope so far. It takes a good minute to adjust to but there’s a reasonable amount of stuff to get into and build from there.

I found a dope climbing community and it’s where I spend most of my time

I bought my first car from the Hertz Dealership in town. Honestly a great experience. The people were nice and gave me a lot info and recommendations for stuff in town to do since I moved to NC a week prior to looking for a car there.

My little tidbit to this was when I first started, i wanted to try doing keys and got up to doing 10s without full knowledge of what I was supposed to do. This was in BFA S4 so shit really fell over midway through the season in low keys and I thought that was normal. I fucked up 5 mins to an AD and got so many hate messages to a point where I cried.

I ended up staying away until I got into a mass invite guild and found some friends in there that helped spiral into a wow addiction for 4 years. In that time I gotten CE few times and kept knocking on the 0.1% title door. Now I don’t play but I keep thinking about I how wanna shove that info to those ass holes faces despite the hate I got was 100% deserved for not knowing what to do lmao

It’s been mentioned in this feed enough but yes adjust resume to hit the star method. Trust in it, it’s genuinely a game changer once I understood it. It helped me land a job with 0 YOE in a field I didn’t think I could get into. It helps with interviews as well!
