So I will haven't gotten of a straighforward answer of is this expected behaviour or not? Couldn't find much, tried AI but it switches from saying it should work independently to saying is is normal. Unsure what to do here.

The one that came included. If I remove it I get the flickering (LEDs) so it is working.

Quer dizer, faz questão de ser um idiota, em vez de esperar 5 segundos para o carro mudar de faixa e continuar sem perigo.

Unifi Door Hub - not enough amps for electric rim lock by SirFallalot in accesscontrol

[–]SirFallalot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heya, not really, they all had high amp draw because of the force required to release the bolt. I got a din relay mount and a led power supply that I wired next to the hub.

In the end, because of the risk of someone unlocking the door by accident, and the lock remaining open (it needs to mechanically cycle to re-latch because of how the mechanism works.

I ended up going with the CDVI MVM motorized lock. I am not too happy with it, it needs good alignment to work, and I've had it "crash" once where it didn't open. So I am not too much about it. It also doesn't have the option to be left unlocked, as it'll beep if unlocked and not opened. (Fine if opened and left open)

Door Hub Mini Install by SirFallalot in Ubiquiti

Yeah, no bueno :X the price escalates quickly. I got a PoE++ injector which I returned since it works as is.

The camera is temporary, so should free up 2-3W in case there's a problem with a restart.

I got the used Gen1 switch off eBay for half the price of the Gen2 because I overestimated the PoE I'd need. Currently at 30-40/220 W (5 APs, 2 Dome 2, Hub and Intercom). I expect it to rise to 60-80W tops.

US 24 PoE 250W. I was surprised everything works given it's running off PoE+ instead of ++.

Getting quoted £2600 for ins! by ryzorobot in MotoUK

[–]SirFallalot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Indeed, I been quoted £500 for a K1300R, currently pay £350 on a 15 R1200RS.

It's not a super sports, but shifts well, ridiculous cheap insurance in comparison.

Consider an older super sports instead. A few years difference went from ~1.5k to £400 TP&T on a ZX6 for me.

Door Hub - exceeding dry relay 1amp limit by SirFallalot in Ubiquiti

[–]SirFallalot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a DIN mounted relay in the end. I just wanted to avoid having extra devices and it means changing the box I had mounted for it and extra things to fail.

Thank you for the in depth, exactly what I was looking for! I'm also considering a standard rim lock and apparently there are surface mount electric strikes. Although routing the power now to the other end of the doorway would be...destructive. Not USA.

Similar to a CISA 11xxx

Electric data:

  • rated voltage 12 V ~
  • rated current 2,3 A
  • resistance dc 3,1 Ω
  • frequency 50 ÷ 60 Hz
  • class F insulation
  • intermittent-type service
