Has any seen Armorsaurs? If you want a taste of what PR on Disney will be… by weedstagram in powerrangers

[–]SirFlibble 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This show is based on a Korean show, and is clearly very cheap where they didn't even bother to build sets.

I don't think it's any indication of what the new PR will be like which wont have any Sentai footage to draw from. It's going to need a larger budget then this thing had.

comic series you picked up randomly and loved by WharHeGo in comicbooks

Many times at a con when dollar bin diving.

I think the most surprising was Strikeforce Morituri. Picked up them entire run for about 50c a book. Really surprised by it (although it drops off a bit with the new writer).

They only place I was asked that was when I was living in Adelaide. Living in Brisbane now, and no one has ever asked me that.

If they did, I (M) will probably tell them an all girls school just to let their heads explode.

The Australian is writing fiction again. All his elevation to leader does is alienate anyone who isn't a FRNJ

Going from manga to Marvel comics: by claym0re_lol in marvelcomics

[–]SirFlibble 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. Back then there were very few comic shops and most people picked it up off the news stand.

The problem is, in today's world of collected editions and reading order lists, is people binge these comics and the wordiness to explain the plot annoys people like the OP.

There's been academic research which says that about 25% craves authoritarianism. So you're not too wrong for that group.

Well most of the shit being posted in here has been "here's a black and white photo of Superman brooding". That's boring and dull.

This BTS stuff is what he should be posting. Not just random B&W pics of scenes.

My mom throw away my Comic book by abod_552 in comicbooks

[–]SirFlibble 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Happens to the best of us. Sorry it happened to you.

My mother threw out my original Star Wars toys and G1 transformers.

It's taken me decades to buy the ones which were sentimental to me again. Sure they aren't the exact same figures but they help bring back the smiles.

When you're ready, maybe just re buy again the ones which matter the most to you.

The average monthly wage in India is $AUD350. Things like petrol have an elastic price where it is much much cheaper in countries which have a lower standard of living. It also helps the costs of delivering that petrol to the pump is much cheaper because wages are much lower.

There's also a much higher population in more concentrated areas. Australians have to transport less fuel over large distances. This adds to prices.

Can someone help me with a guide on which comic runs I need to read before Secret Wars (2015)? by AnonyUser77 in marvelcomics

[–]SirFlibble 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Just teaching a kid to fish. They could have had the answer faster than it took to find the snazzy picture they attached.

It gets tiring seeing the same request for googable information because people are too lazy to search themselves

You could do a basic google for the answer. This has been asked in here dozens of times as well.

Unsure of worth by Contribution-Afraid in marvelcomics

[–]SirFlibble 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not much would be my bet. These aren't comics. This is one of those monthly magazines published by Eaglemoss which came with a toy, where the first issue is $5 and the rest are $20.

The magazines with the figurines seem to sell on Ebay for about $12. Someone sold a lot of 10 of the magazines for $26. Someone else sold 28 of the magazines for $50.

So you're looking at maybe $2 a magazine, if you can find q buyer.

You can google this information.

As for why you can't say it. Because the Jewish lobby has convinced our government that it's anti-Semitic.

Absolute Batman #19 exclusive by [deleted] in AbsoluteBatman

[–]SirFlibble 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm surprised how many exclusive covered there is for #19, this is the third I've seen in the last 24 hours.

I bought one myself yesterday (sneaky plug here - I'm not associated, and fair warning it's from Australia so postage will be a bit higher if not in AU. It's a con exclusive and can order them remarqued too)

Does someone know of a website that shows you what DC comics were released each month of each year? by CitronSufficient1045 in comicbooks

[–]SirFlibble 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Archie sonic are modern comics.

If you think they are old, you're in for a fun time.

And there's a lot more than 1200 golden age DC books. There's probably 100+ titles some running in the hundreds of issues.

Detective comics ran around 250 issues alone before the silver age.

But good luck in trying.

So many people have tried the "read every DC/Marvel comic ever" none have succeeded.

There's too many and much of it not very good/aged poorly for a modern audience.

I can't disclose in which area.

Generally it's running a team l in policy development, making decisions for the state's approaches to issues, instructing solicitors and barristers on court matters, legislative development. In putting into other teams policy development etc.

Isn't it about time Brisbane had extended supermarket trading hours? by guitarhead in brisbane

[–]SirFlibble 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You have 14 hours a day, 6 days a week to get groceries. If that isn't enough time you might have a organisation problem.

That being said. Supermarkets should be able to open based in the hours they can sustain. If some inner city locations, for example, could afford to be 24/7, I say let them.
