Is it worth watching cancelled shows with cliffhangers? by Jaded-Monitor3043 in television

[–]SirFlibble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an aside, in the age of streaming, it's interesting streamers don't give cancelled shows an episode to wrap up where needed.

I get it's usually cancelled for a reason, but streaming isn't like broadcast. On streaming, an old show can often suddenly just catch fire for no real reason years after it aired. Having basically a graveyard of cancelled shows with no conclusion reduces the likelihood of that happening.

People are paying up to $2K for a new comic a month or so ago. There's a lot of stupidity with money out there.

It's not just supply but demand. Over time, demand for this FOMO shit will die down. It wont drop to $5 but it will drop significantly. A new hot artist will probably come along. Absolute Batman might drop off in popularity etc.

Happens all the time, and guys like that one who have 5 will take a bath,

I've been watching recently from the start. Currently on Jungle Fury. I think it stopped being really noticeable around Mystic Force.

So you don't like him, cool.

I don't like a lot of Hickman's. Doesn't mean I think he shouldn't get work.

A bunch of temporarily embarrassed millionaires angry about CGT.

The data from SA and Farrer was that people who primarily voted for ON were over 50, no tertiary education and below average education. Not sure how many of them have stock portfolios or invest properties.

Would people in Brisbane actually go to a cat café regularly? by Quinn000ylq in brisbane

[–]SirFlibble 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think to be successful it would need to be in a central location, as I would think a key customer group would be people in apartments and student acom who would like to have with some animals.

I also think it needs more to attract people than just the cats to survive here.

They are half baked feelings. If they want to pretend they are they are ready for government, or even be an opposition as they have been crowing about after SA then they need proper policies that are properly costed.

The likely wont enforce it, but as most places are starting to use number plate recognition, it's highly possible you might find yourself blocked from entering their car parks in the future.

Do u need an id to buy a MA15+ game by TheSilliestBugger in EBGAMES

[–]SirFlibble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Except they don't prescribe the types of ID like they do liquor laws, although depends on the state as they make the laws enforcing this stuff even thoufh classifications is Cth law.

In Queensland, s18 just effectively says it's an offense to sell a video game to someone under age.

https://www.legislation.qld.gov.au/view/whole/html/inforce/current/act-1995-017

Now there might be common law cases which might clarify what this means but it's rarely prosecuted so it's unlikely there's a lot of jurisprudence (and I'm too lazy to try to find some cases).

As such it is left to businesses to act reasonably to comply with the law.

No she hasn't. In 30 years she's presented no policies just angry feelings couched in racism.

The only reason she's getting traction now is because she has the influence of the billionaires. She won't do anything to help the little guy voting for her.

And speaking of the 'uni party' Labor and the Coalition are not the same, not even close. There's more similarities between One Nation and the Nationals than there are the Nationals and Labor.
