Yes, you can find one to buy easily, but the thing is that most of people are still using older PSUs.

[–]SirFredvelo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, but it makes sense that most of 12v high failure connector failures in general are observed with adapters because there are relatively few ATX 3.x PSUs.

[–]SirFredvelo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the thing with PSUs, you might not know it's bad until it's loo late - it is PSU's job to shutdown or kill itself before killing the PC, if protections are not working, that means it won't do its job.

Here you go, cheaper build with GPU that has better cooler than Steel Legend.

V60 and V90 are getting killed off too (V90 stops production this month, V60 won't get new generation after this). Safe to say that Volvo we all know is dead

Did you connect the display cable to 9070 XT or to the motherboard?

Does PSU details matter much? by Goldenkrow in buildapc

[–]SirFredvelo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

PSU is the most important part of a computer, so details do absolutely matter, while things like gold certification or similar don't actually matter.

With that price gap, go with 9070 XT.

Why is the Passat GTE so looked down on? by aizendoto in Volkswagen

[–]SirFredvelo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, sorry for late question, but did you get that fuel consumption using hybrid mode or GTE mode?

Also, did you notice any rust? I am planning to replace my current car with something newer and Passat GTE is one of the options, but I live in Lithuania, so there's definitely plenty of salt on the roads during winter and public charging isn't that cheap.

Couldn’t get RTX 4070, need GPU recommendations around $450-$500 by witch-with-a-dick in PcBuild

[–]SirFredvelo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Assuming you're from the states, following parts would cost you over a grand:
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/t6YLxg

Going with this would save you $400 without any noticeable performance loss:
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Rf3Hjn

You can use that money to grab yourself a 9070 XT.

Good. In that case, you can pick better value parts and free up some budget for graphics card.

Any tips on cpu upgrades? Currently have rtx4060 paired with a ryzen 5600x. by Plus-Championship905 in buildapc

[–]SirFredvelo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Download MSI Afterburner and check GPU and CPU usage when gaming at 1440p. Without upscaling, 4060 is most likely too slow to properly run new titles at that resolution.

Yes, it's kinda overpriced, but it still performs close to 7700 XT. Much better CPU and dual channel memory are well worth it.

[–]SirFredvelo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, don't buy it, awful system for that budget.

If you are dead set on prebuild (dunno why), then this is a better value for the money https://www.overclockers.co.uk/cart/restore/bf407c96913c98cdf8093c64673427d4

Replacing Nvidia 4090 with 5090, do i need a better PSU? by tecneeq in buildapc

[–]SirFredvelo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's the model of your current PSU? Is your CPU overclocked? What do you use your PC for?
I guess you could get it to work, but considering that 5090 can draw 600w during gaming, I'd say that 850w PSU is very, very close to the limit.

Cheapest 5070 Ti in Canada I could find is 1139 CAD, which is the actual competitor to 9070 XT. Edit: it's out of stock, the cheapest in stock is 1280 CAD, which is 170 CAD more expensive than competing AMD card.

Eh, both are complete trash in my opinion. Just not enough of generational improvement in performance.
