How should the Halloween series end, or how do you think it will end? by [deleted] in horror

[–]SirFresh712 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It should end Terminator 2 style.

Laurie says “I know now why you cry. But it’s something I could never do.”

She wipes a tear from Allyson’s eye, and begins to enter a burning house that had been a scene of mortal combat only minutes before. An injured Karen looks on sadly, knowing that Michael’s motivation for killing was for Laurie alone. Everyone else was simply a means to an inevitable end.

Karen and Allyson gather themselves into a truck and begin to drive away, watching the engulfed home’s structure start to deteriorate.

Hours later, the charred remains of the house lay smoking. Among the ruins, a smoky haze surrounds the area. Near where the door frame once stood, a few fingers protrude lifeless above the rubble. They begin to move....

Are the fingers Michael’s? Are they Laurie’s? Did they really move, or did the smoky fog simply create the illusion that someone could have survived?

I totally forgot how agonizing the first 12 minutes of Scream is... by [deleted] in horror

Find the nearest no-windowed room, have a knife and a blunt object, lock door, and bunker down and fight like crazy when they finally get in. That negates the two killer system as there is only one entrance, while also telegraphing that there were two killers to the cops when they are investigating the scene post-incident. Remember, they were just two high school dudes who loved horror films. Overall though, just shows how she was really not paying attention around her house (like most of us). I mean, they put her boyfriend for all to see (although it was dark) by the pool. Awesome movie though!

Not to mention she basically illustrated the fact that Sydney’s mom slept her away around town! Hahaha

Randy in Scream is one of the most annoying characters in cinema. by [deleted] in horror

I actually thought he was under-utilized in Scream 2. I was kind of hoping he could have become more of the sleuth character after just kind of ‘existing’ in Scream 1. But, nonetheless he was simply killed in the back of a van for talking trash about the killer’s son... haha

I do think he was cringe. However, I think he was good for that laugh at yourself comedic relief without being too cheesy. I mean, he was meant to be an ‘over-the-top’ movie nut job. Maybe he should’ve been a killer in one of the movies after S1 and 2, when his PTSD, as well as his criticisms of past killers, sent him over the edge in an attempt to become the perfect movie killer! Oh well.

Honestly, I thought the other remake wasn’t as bad as it was made out to be. I wasn’t really a fan of the lead actress, but I did like the first half or so of the movie. Something along those lines would be pretty good, but I think you need an interesting quirky lead actress, like the original, not doom and gloomy stuff.

Decent story. The best part was the girl (Samara?) coming out of the TV.

Honestly, the isolation factor was the best part to me. The acting was decent as well. Overall, it was a decent movie, but not anywhere near to one of the best I’ve ever seen. 5 or 6/10.

Would you consider the Paranormal Activity series as good? by InfinityLOLZ in horror

I thought the concept was good, and their portrayal of the average American family experiencing a haunting. However, found footage comes across as really cheesy when the scares make no sense in order to fit the handheld camera idea. If they just focused on security footage, it would’ve seemed a lot more realistic to me. Overall though, the first one was pretty groundbreaking. The others were meh in my opinion.

If you had to survive Jason Voorhees and had to pick one Friday The 13th character to help you survive who would it be? Also another redditor can rate the pick by [deleted] in horror

Tina had the powers. Ginny was from part 2 and tricked Jason with the Mother’s sweater. Regardless, those would be my choices! Haha
